Ok but I also feel like the Gacha life community is sort of also doing the Wolf stories, I swear they took inspiration from Wattpad, almost all of the stories are about either the love interest is the alpha of the pack, the bully alpha, or the bad boy/girl alpha.

Idk if this was the intent, but these critiques are inspiring me to write fanfics where the werewolf mc is considered weak because she's actually disabled in some way and has to prove that she can still be strong in spite of that, or a mafia story where the mafia guy tries to date the mc normally while keeping his crime life secret from them, and possibly also having to keep mc secret from the mafia. Just to see if I can make an actually good story.

I never understood why the mafia was something people were interested in. It's not cute or "quirky" LIKE THEY WOULD NOT LOVE OR LIKE YOU PERIOD!!! and literally not to mention that the moment you witness them "taking care of business" aka MURDER, they can and will make your demise look like an accident. (edit: however props to the wattpad/ AO3 writers who ACTUALLY do their research and write like they know what they're doing)

I remember when I used to read Wattpad. I thought it was so superior to AO3 and that people who hated on it were hating it for no reason. Anyway, it took me about a month of reading for me to realise that all the top fics for my fandom were practically the same but with different OCs or Y/Ns. Moved to AO3 and I have never looked back. The writing is 10x better and the stories are so diverse. The filtering system as well! The only thing about Wattpad I miss is the comments, but other than that, it doesn’t have anything outstanding to it.
