what's the difference between using SPAGs and having one product group but having it segmented out with all products and bid at the item ID level?
There isn't a major difference when it comes to bidding on its own, but SPAGs create an organized structure for more control over negative keywords, pausing/unpausing a single product, and quickly evaluating performance on an item-level basis.

Usually, a brand will be "rejected" if there are data errors that need to be resolved. Surprised that your ad is only 17% more likely to get impressions for terms included in your title. I would've expected it to be way higher than this, given the importance of the product title in typical SEO activities.
Hi A Skeptical Human, thanks for your comment! It's hard to compare SEO to Google Shopping, but the increase in impressions will vary relative to the initial state of the content for both SEO and Google Shopping. Consider the cumulative effect of multiple relevant words added to your titles, like brand, color, size, gender, material, and product nouns :)

How will I know the "waterfall" or three intent ad groups will work? The LOW priority setting? Scared to set the highest CPC's if I don't have a way to control that ad group from showing the generic term i.e. "running shoes"
