These are invasive where I live in SE Australia. Fish of 1-2kg are common in good environments with low fishing pressure. Even 3+kg redfin perch are caught in several lakes every year. I laugh at how these taste better than carp, another imported species that gets heaps of attention, but because redfin are the tastiest common freshwater fish in cooler areas many people who grew up catching them take years to learn they're invasive. If ever!
Ye it’s a sport fish in England and they can get up above 3lb at a big size

@@carpandkush yes pal ned rig they stand up right and it helps if u have a bait that floats I recommend the z-man trd bugs or something along the lines

Angling direct mate I think they were £5 100% would recommend
nice catches mate but one tip is slow down the retrieve once youve found where theyre holding up as the ned rig is best gently hopped along the bottom imo rather than twithed like that, but tight lines mate!1
Cheers pal I tried both methods but they seem they wanted a quick retrieve so that’s what I opted for normally it’s the slow option could have been the weather

This was the slowest fishing ive had in a while because of the floods i went a few days later and didnt film caught 13 in a few hours and missed 2 big pike i wasnt happy 🤣
@@CarpinWithDeclan it’s part of fishing 😂 the same happens to us we struggle when filming and then you can have a great session when you aren’t filming 😂
