Blade show Stuffs! Also the Big Idea Design EDC Click pen full review
If you had to pick a folder for your life to depend on, make it a Buck 110 or 112.
To many repeats no spork at the end hacksaw still not created on yet ? Like the crab claw idea small knife Does most bits
What most people don't know is, your heat treatment on a knife blade is one of the most important things even compared to the metal itself. The heat treatment done perfectly, on a mediocre or subpar steel makes it perform way better almost transforming it into an even better Steel.
I have a small horse ranch in southern Arizona and a good folder is an essential tool - used daily for a multitude of reasons. From cutting open hay bales to trimming leather tack, etc., I've never found a better knife than the beautifully crafted and classic Buck 110. At around $60, the fit and finish, as you noted, are impeccable! And it holds a razor shap edge well ( if it DOES get a lil less sharp, a few licks on a stone bring it right back to life!) I've tried them all - from cheap to expensive - and I seem to always come back to my old trusty Buck. Yes, it is slower to get into service than a knife with a clip and so on...but we take things slow on a horse ranch! I love, And it's AMERICAN MADE! I LOVE my Buck 110.
Pretty awesome I just ordered a Micro Spike I’ve been wanting one for a long long time now
does it open one handed ?
Thank you for this detailed comparison. I just bought Roktol for $39 in BF sale. Value for money.
I have the buck 112 I paid 100 pounds for it about 2 months ago. I love it I've not used it I just got it as I didn't have it in my collection. I have other bucks too but my 112 is my favourite
Mine runs ps1 including duke nukem 3D perfectly. It even supports bunch of pico 8 roms.
Ryan, I am so glad you are discovering the merits of the Buck 110! Over the decades it was one of, if not the most copied designs in history! Yes, it is old-school, but when you compare the price with others, it is a really a pretty good deal! Still made in the U.S.A.! Blessings, gg🙏✝️❤️🇺🇸🙋☝️
Why does the big sheeth come apart?
There are 110s with pocket clips.
USA Bucks are soooo much nicer than Case.

Thank you for the video and the support! We truly appreciate it! ☺
A yr later ive never seen an xl corgi
@@mrmouse-ol9pw had one in hand at the blade show- they just never released them I suppose. I was a brand ambassador for sometime but they failed to keep me in the loop back then- now I don’t pay attention
There customer service blows. That lost me These corgis loosen up after a bit and the button breaks. Weak spring
@@mrmouse-ol9pw tbh they give out easy too. Their Nightshade line continues to be a favorite- but I’ll never trust their button locks. The best way to get CS in my experience is their fb group. If you reach out to Corrine or Fira they are most likely to be able to help- but idk nowadays. I’ve been carrying a spyderco, or a kizer primarily for some time now
@TheOpinionarium Ive carried a benchmade for yrs but it's time for a new knife. The issue with spyderco, and I'm leaning towards the manix 2, is it comes in at least 12 diff steels. M390 to m4, magnacut to maxamet, cruwear to s110v, 15v to spy27. I'm not a metallurgist
@ almost any will serve well- my pm2 is in S110 which holds a good edge but is a pain to sharpen. If you can get it in s30 or s35, that’s a well rounded option- Magnacut is a great steel too. It’s the best Jack of all trades, with well rounded everything- but it’s also not exceptional at any particular task either.
One of the greatest feelings a man can experience is unboxing a brand new buck 110 or 112. Such a beautiful tool.
As a teenager my real first pocket knife was the Buck 110 with the titanium handle. I have had a dozen folders since then. At the age of 53, I own this Ebony Buck 110 since today and I still loved it more. Such a classy and timeless masterpiece of craftmanship.
That thing needs a tape measure and a spool of string.
I love this Swiss army knife😍
Hello buddy would you mind doing a update video of your leatherman super tool 300 in use i think the super tool 300 is still the best multi tool for the working man love it
I have the 110 but I also have the 112 which I prefer more. It's just more compact and comfortable to wear on my belt. No matter what your preference they are great knives.
Incredible how that piece of crab of Leatherman Arc can't do the same being 3 times as expensive as that SOG. That's why I didn't buying; it's all hype. I'm going for that the Powaraccess.
Love the super tool 300 because it's all one tool noting to lose everything is one and i like it for that reason thanks 👍
I just got one of these. How has it been holding up? I am contemplating using mjne in a bugout bag and do not want to destroy it. Also, the 1/4" holder for the bits, that is in with the other tools, can lock at a 90 degree angle for extra leverage. Nice review, by the way!
@@keithfillinger3182 firstly- thanks for the kind words! It’s held up beautifully actually. I’ve had some health complications that have lead to my grip strength suffering, and it’s actually become my every day user because I can clamp onto stuff better with it. Every single tool has performed well- my only remiss is that it doesn’t have scissors! But I carry a micra around to make up for that :)
@@TheOpinionarium Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! It is much appreciated
Nearly useless, but beautiful, close competitor with the regular Swiss Champ, which is useful as well as beautiful. They are icons of industrial design and build. Up there with some of the older Leica mechanical rangefinder, film cameras. Swiss and German quality, respectively.
I don’t really like the see through one because you can’t really see the buttons
I use mine not abuse it, some times I sharpen it or clean it. It still looks good
Maybe not a everyday carry knife for most people but still worth getting one. It satisfies some male desire
I have one and it’s better than the weatherman. Think bout it this way. It will do anything a weatherman I’ll do. Costs half the price and no special bits. That is far better than weatherman
Nothing to decide. Everyone needs a buck 110.
Hey guys, I remember watching a movie where a little boy got gifted one of these by his older brother if I am not mistaken. Do you happen to have any idea of what that movie is?
Have you held the XL?
1 tool that is missing is the round philips screwdriver on the back. i find that more aesthetically pleasing than the corkscrew. i don’t know whether it is superstition but victorinox never puts the rounded screwdriver on the same tool as one with a corkscrew. i have heard it is because of how the tool is positioned in the back that they cannot put both, but i still think they can if it was on the opposite side and had enough layers away from each other. this swiss army knife definately has enough layers to separate the rounded philips from the corkscrew, yet it is still not present.
Great review! The 110 should be in every knife guy’s collection. Check the Buck autos..
You need to buy a larger watch strap.
My opinion of Spyderco is the same as yours used to be. I have my first Maxamet Spyderco on the way. My hope is that it turns around my opinion on Spyderco as it did yours. Great content, thank you!
@@rayhancock3350 I really hated it before- Maxamet is actually pretty fragile and tends to rust but will hold an edge extraordinarily long so keep all that in mind- It the compression lock is fantastic, I’ve put my PM2 in s110v through the wringer and it comes out on top every time.
It's a great knife, just not a fidget toy. Buck specifically designed it for skinning and camping. Because I'm not a big fan of stainless steel, I found a very similar (really a copy) competitor's knife, the Schrade Old Timer OT-7. They're unfortunately Asian now, but I found an old Schrade USA OT-7 in 1095 carbon steel. Really nice. I added a screw-on thumb stud for one handed opening for less than 5 bucks. 420HC is fairly tough for a stainless steel, but not nearly as good as 1095. I can keep my knives dry and greased. I'd rather have the performance. The particular knife I got was off of eBay in a 3 knife set and was just a ride-along with the Camillus navy rigging knife I was looking for. It's really old, probably from the 70's or 80's, but the original owner didn't oversharpen it, so it has about 90's of the blade life left and just some light rust I cleaned up with naval jelly, steel wool, polish, break-free and grease. Real easy to sharpen with hardly any burr complications.
I hear so many stories of people inheriting their grandpa's Buck. I can't wait to pass mine on!
my favorite folding knife in said price range, of course you could get a bone handle PA knife works engraved bone or antler with Japanese surgical steel for double the cost but for the basic folding knife in a perfect all around size? its the Buck all day long for me, my next will be the finger carved in ebony . . and the wood really natters here cuz these are easily 250 year knives, they can last a LONG time, some 50yr old ones look new today, even the used ones, mine looks the way i bought it and its cleaned fish, game, in all climates, carved this and that and is still in real good shape.. very well made knives and they haven't cheeped out on the process today, they are still very well made, they have changed the layout some 2 pin to 3 pin so forth but still very tight tolerances, very good AAA materials and craftsmanship is spot on... a guy can never go wrong fora folding type utility knife, hale I'll cut a steak up with it that's how much I trust the metal as being very clean.. great knives
boring
Back in 1967 l purchased my first Buck 110 for 18 dollars and I still have it. I have had 1 reblade put in it through the years and it works real well.
Maybe it’s a fake Lynch clip or a copie because I’ve never had an issue with Lynch pocket clips.
I’m a weirdo. I LOVE the smell of the leather sheath
@@TRG916 me too! Lol
@@TheOpinionariumI’ve cut raw leather with my 110. I live in Spokane Valley WA 20 minutes from the Buck plant in Post Falls ID. Their store is amazing.
Heck yeah!
I had one when I was 10 years old. It was the early 80's. Times were different back then. I would flip it open a lot and throw it around till the lock broke where it locks the blade. My uncles had one, my cousins and a few of my friends. It was cool till they started selling throwing stars and Butterfly knives. A couple of years later First Blood Rambo was out and the survival knife was the craze back then.
I have one of these and carry it, yes carry it,all the time and have used it quite a few times.
How big is your pocket?
Swiss Army is the OG of multitools, and the Swiss Tools smoke the competition.
Buck is the godfather of lock back knives.
Mora is nice too
