Yak man.... Wow this shit is ill. I was maybe 13 when I first was exposed to def Jux artists and this true culture of HipHop hidden in the underground and barely expressed by the mainstream. This guy is in NYC and I'm a Texas native and I know (randomly) mad Spanish Graffhesd type cats that knew this dude. All the way from NYC down to Dallas nahmean? Yak killed it. Easily comparable to Nas lyrically and with force. You may not think that now... but remember a few years back you could've asked people who liked rap that listened to mainstream Who Nas was and people would not even know who that guy was next to Gucci mane(or any other mainstream artist). Not to mention I lived in Germany in 05' and niggas was ROCKIN that SCIFENTOLOGY clothing. It was pressure my dude

I wonder what album this one was supposed to be on. This likely wasn’t on Endangered Species due to the Copa Cabana sample. Probably too expensive. There was nothing wrong with Endangered Species. It’s a compilation album with familiar songs, unreleased material and rare features. I think it did its job. It’s not a studio album and quite frankly it was lightyears ahead of whatever that slop was called Yeeah Baby. It’s not clear if what we heard was truly Pun’s full vision but if that’s where he was going, then he needed to go back to the drawing board.
