1971 Catalina Convertible Body Mount assessment. 3 broken studs found in original cage bolt mounts. 2 of the 3 had access from the trunk floor, the other one will require the body to be lifted a bit off the frame to remove the stud, and repair a portion of the forward truck floor brace. Failed attempts of welding a nut on a rounded exhaust manifold bolt. Tried many setting on the welder, just couldn't get good penetration of the bolt head. I welcome any constructive tips. Budget rebuild of both driver and passenger side seat units. These unit were not media blasted, just disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, and re-greased. Picked up this 71 Catalina Convertible the winter of '23 and have been busy pulling parts off to assess condition and make a plan for it's restoration. Low optioned car.
