Cool ideas! My grandpa showed me the "hand friction" trick when I was a kid. I still use it to this day! My first wand was made of a clear quartz point that was like... 2" x 6." My second one I made out of a tree branch from a tree in my yard. The third one I made from a rose stem I got from my grandfather's casket after it dried. I gave the quartz one to my partner a while ago, but I still bust out the other two from time to time. Room spray is a great alternative for incense sensitivities. I just mix 9 drops of an oil in an 8oz spray bottle with some "moon water" and drop some crystal chips on there (herbs rot & clog) and then paint a sigil or a few on the bottle. It can be used to cleanse or as an offering. It also has the added benefit of re-humidifying the room if you burn a lot of candles like I do. Another option is mixing fresh herbs together in a bowl like a sort of potpourri. Just some ideas in case you wanna try those! My athame is a hunting knife with a camel bone hilt. It also has some Iron Sulfide crystals growing out of the end, too, so that adds even more intentionality and correspondences. I like that description for one of the purposes of consecration. Careful with fire and water with some stones. Fluorite and other stones will change color and/or shatter under too much flame. And some stones, like Selenite, will dissolve in water. Sorry for the essay, as usual. Haha

Lilith is the first infernal energy I have worked with and her energy is unlike anything I have ever worked with before. I definitely get to experience more of her goddess side in my practice but i hope as I progress in my own self empowerment she can share a bit more of her shadow side with me.

My mom was a witch throughout my childhood but has over the years developed terrible schizophrenia.(nothing to do w witchcraft) She still practices today and it has made her extremely toxic. Nice ink!! Interesting concept of "never needing to draw the sigil, etc." I honestly hadn't thought about it that way before. I also like how you incorporated the triple moon into the design as well. That's one of the reasons I like having gauges. Drawing sigils on them, or "evoking the entity into the stones," so to speak, allows me to hear them a little more clearly - if even at a placebo level.

I love how you described how going from light work to shadow Work you feel more balanced and empowered. I have been experiencing the same thing. It's actually crazy how fast and much things can change.

This was a much needed video. Light representing clarity is such an underrepresented concept in this community... I also loved how you addressed some of the more "negative" aspects of the Light, like rigidity. 3:45 I'm not gonna lie, when this started happening part of me starting wondering if I was just being lured into the depths, like a drug dealer giving me my first hit for "free." But, it didn't take long for that to wither. And, after all these years, I've been able to help myself and so many others in so many ways that any fears about the darkness are limited to simply "imbalance." I use a similar technique, but I like to step into my "Inner Temple" and evoke my Shadow, so to speak, and then that typically starts a process of its own. Sometimes I'll ask questions, sometimes I'll have "them" just draw or paint for me, and sometimes I'll even do like... healing "sessions?" I guess? Sorry to hear about your loss. As I'm sure you're aware, those that love us are never truly gone. One thing that has helped me was setting up an "Ancestral Altar." I light candles and incense there every morning and that has done wonders for other aspects of my practice as well - just an idea. Anyway, sorry for the essay. I'm looking forward to the book! Similar to what you mentioned of commanding entities. I am new to demonolatry and am nervous with the sigils and seals. I dont want to use them if they are used to control the entities. I want to work w themnas equals are respect them as higher as I see them. Whats your take on this?

2:54 That's a very interesting take. I've always approached evocation from a different understanding. To me, I approach evocation from a respectful standpoint of, I want to know you outside of my perspective and/or how could I recognize something I don't know, yet. So, I tend to evoke something before I invoke it. This doesn't make any sense to some, and I understand that. But it makes sense to me, so I utilize it in my art. Coming from the perspective of Solomonic Magick, I can definitely see how evocation comes from a place of "command," though. It can also be very egocenteic as it tends to be used by people who want to "prove" themselves or the work. Anyway, to each their own. Feel better soon; I'll send some healing vibes your way.
