As far as California goes the cost of living is not bad because wages are generally higher so it all works out. I’m a lifelong resident although I left and came back a couple of times We also have a nice clean and easy airport and Amtrak runs through downtown. As people say it’s only an hour and a half to San Francisco or Lake Tahoe or 3 to Yosemite. We are also blessed with lakes and several rivers. We are also a college town and are linked to them with light rail and bike trails.

I can't wait to go to paramedic school here. I hope.
