    3:30 I think we should go bigger in general here on turn. He will have some flushes, good amount of trips and occasionally weaker boat. Though I suppose 77 wants to play more passive in 5 cards. River seems like easy pot bet as played. Don't really know what's the point of this almost pot size. E.g. hard to see any clear difference in call frequency versus this or pot imo. That said for this reason I sometimes downsize for exploitative reasons to make bluff cheaper. 13:21 AKT96ds: Yeah K is likely not great but also two gaps on 96 is probably issue. 23:00 Probably should pot turn with nfd as support. If we didn't have that nfd I like x-r attempt. We also then make it bit more likely to face bet. Being result oriented though you end up losing minimum most likely. 36:00 KK88x: I don't play 5card but I would prefer to check flop exactly for reason you mention on turn. We lack equity. Plus we do have KK which still has some showdown value. On river check seems reasonable but on other hand it could be close with 4 card straight on board. Meaning it's not hard for villain to have straight. How often we get 2nd nuts to fold though? 41:30 This would actually be spot where I would like to see small x-r versus big bet. Point is villain range is very polarised here and if we do go for value (nuts only) or bluff we want to size small imo. Reason being it's really hard to get action from worse when potting and when we pot as bluff villain probably doesn't really need to continue with worse than nuts. There is smaller straight possible but I am not so sure if people would bet on big side with that? 43:50 What is your play versus pot x-r?

      Forgot to add that personally I would like to keep 4- and 5-cards as separate videos. But then again I don't play 5 cards so it is bit biased opinion.

      Hey Herbie, you can either use the in built solutions we have available, or import your own sims from monkersolver and use the features that PLO Trainer has to study or train this. PLO Trainer is not a solver, it works on pre-calculated solves that we import into the PLO Trainer. Let me know if this answers your question or if you have more questions. Cheers!

    Currently playing 25PLO stars. Unfortunately 50 doesn’t run. 100 is the next step but 200 doesn’t run. So it’s a bit complicated as I imagine the 100 pool is made up players who could play higher? Not sure I want to play at GG with the rake.

    8:00 Call is very likely best play in real life. In most pools two things tend to happen. People will cold call 3bets more and EP will under fold to our 3bet. 9:10 right table: Seems quite thin call versus this sizing with low bdfd. But could be good. Probably is theory wise but we really need some low equity stabs as our hand is so non nutted. 36:00 right table: Versus vpip 42 min3betting preflop this turn raise seems very optimistic to me.

    about the checkraise with 833 boat on the low board (min 19.30), i would say against vpip 17, maybe reggish player i wont xr and also maybe against very tight postflop players, if they size it through like that. his turn barrel already kinda looked quite funny and something like what he had when considerung your blockers and a tight opening range. :D

  • @adriaanknulst1281
    @adriaanknulst1281 Месяц назад

    I think at @4.17 we are too high in our range to consider bluffing. akxx we can check down till river and win often enough at showdown. we still have plenty of 8,9,t,j,q high hands in our range that we can bluff. Most of the time no sdv is more important than blockers. Checking down 8 high is zero ev FE while checking down ak high has still a couple of bb EV. I never looked at solutions for this exact situation so i could be wrong but interesting to hear your thoughts about this

    • @LuukBotter86
      @LuukBotter86 Месяц назад

      Hi Adriaan! Thanks for your input! I totally agree we have decent EV by checking back the turn and will win some of the time. My in-game thought was that have the Q and the K are good blockers given that we are up against the SB. Who should have more high pairs in his range, and therefore blocking these is helpful. Also since he has more pairs in his range than lets say the BB, the value of AK drops in comparison to playing against the BB. But I also get your viewpoint which to me makes a lot of sense. To me this was interesting enough to look into a turn solution on a similar board (K444) CO vs SB. What I did notice is that a hand like AKQx actually likes to bluff the turn fairly often while a hand like JT98 (and similar hands) mainly check. I think part comes from that OOP is suppose to fold a decent chunk of his 77x/88x/99x/TTxx against our delay, so unblocking those pairs is actually good for bluffing. Let me know if you have any more thoughts on this! Cheers

    • @adriaanknulst1281
      @adriaanknulst1281 23 дня назад

      Hi Luuk, thanks for your reply. Interesting! It makes sense to bluff hands like akqx against the sb range in a spot like this and dont bluff them against the bb range in the same scenario because the EV of checking down against a wide bb range is significantly higher then against the narrow sb range that consists of a lot of (broadway) pairs

    • @LuukBotter86
      @LuukBotter86 Месяц назад

      I believe so yes, but if you have other options than I would encourage you to also check those out and give them a shot. GG is among the most toughest environments to win in I believe given the rake/rakeback.
