Thanks Rajen and Afiya for tackling these hard but important topics. You will never know who you are helping to navigate through life with exposing all possible perspectives. Thanks again for your great podcast.
Any body who married for material reasons and not for love it just won’t last 😢
Hope it isn't the flu. It's rampant in the States. My husband and I both got it and we have never had it before.
Great ep! Learn from past relationships, yes. Also Rajen raised a good point about pre nups being made to ensure both people are okay should anything happen. I love the wisdom between you two. Def among my fav couples online.
Love this one guys great topic 😊 Firstly I'm suspicious what's Afiya hiding underneath that cushion 😂 you know I'm ready for beautiful nephew or niece 🥰😃 don't tease me 😅 I loved the way you broke it down about marriage and commitment and I can see you are both on the same page with your future goals for a successful marriage ❤ As for the lack of black Caribbean marriages unfortunately this has worsened since early 2000s for black women in particular when it comes to being 'chosen' by a black Caribbean male especially in the UK they prefer to date non black women which we have no control over, however I noticed that the black African community are not affected with such low numbers as they tend to marry within their culture. Anyway guys keep up the great work and even at my old age thanks for inspiring me to not give up on finding a loving caring husband ❤️
I always wonder about marriage. Like I wonder if one partner is more more in love with other partner when in marriage! And I wonder what does it look like when in marriage? Does that person’s heart loves more and more for that partner? Because sometime I have thought of where this person love the partner but then when get married, this person become I guess resentment toward this person. Is that the case? Sorry if I’m not making any sense or doesn’t make sense. Hopefully it make sense!
😊Hello Mr & Mrs Rajen&Afiya; This is grrrrreat, & very thought provoking. Hence Prenup is a synonymous to business transaction & a form of customer receipt. - Hmm, might try that vanilla in dumplings-that's innovation. Good morning! Happy Monday! 27/1/2025 🇬🇧
Great topic guys. Totally enjoyed this one!!!
You guys are one of my favorite couples. I do want to point out that there are a lot of wealthy women who get taken for a ride and lose a lot of money in divorce too because of no prenup, like, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherry Shepherd, Halle Berry, and many more! These women had to pay out huge sums of money for alimony! It's not just a man thing, Rajen!
Guys you actually speak about good stuff and different topics which is good, ALSO STARTED CREASING WITH AFIYA WHEN SHE SAID 'LINKING WITH GYAL FOR 15 YEARS' LOOOOOOOOOL
Great episode. I definitely agree with Afiya. I like a more traditional style. Here in the states, it seems like cheating or some form of infidelity is the root of relationships/ marriages ending. Also relating to Rajen, I can’t remember if I read this in an article or saw it on another podcast but apparently single people have shorter life spans too on top of the depression.
Wise beyond your years... 🥰
Very shady....
What a cozy corner and set up!!

I don't care how long or short you date or live together. Once you get married a lot of people change because of that piece of paper. Longevity it about the give and take in a relationship, mutual respect. Rarely is a relationship fifty fifty. As we go through life we are constantly evolving but not necessarily at the same pace. Then is when cracks in relationships start to show and how you handle those is a determining factor on whether you will survive in this relationship or not.
Indian
Congratulations!!!
Vanilla in the soup dimplings😮 The soup looks delish tho
Congratulations on your wedding! May God bless your union! 🙏🏽❤️👏🏽🎂🎁🍾🍷😃
Just happened to come across your video and was so clued to it! Love your videos! I’ve been watching them. Love how you two laugh so much. Just have me smiling through out! I’ve subscribed! Looking forward to more interesting contents! 👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️
Yummy
❤❤❤
really proud of the approach you guys have taken and the manner in which you have addressed the issues you were having. Is that a Trinidad and Tobago necklace your wearing ?
Rajen needs to understand how chinese bank robber fallacy works with regards to crime in big countries and how big and diverse india is . Most Indian states are super safe for a developing country
No I understand what you mean. My fear can be irrational but at the same time I do feel it's valid given that there will be language barrier issue and general fear of safety. That's not to say I would never go, we will definitely go. Maybe feel more comfortable with a group, at least for the first time. I've also had friends that went just a small group of females and I was told they actually feared for their safety at times in tourist places.
Is that holi ?
No, it's j'ouvert morning.
Guys, I literally made this soup 5 days ago and had not done so for a long time, that's bad as a Jamaican to not do this often. I'm on it, and yours looks amazing. I can literally taste it by looking at you guys eating it.
Haha no it's okay to not make it for a while. Makes cooking more fun and definitely more enjoyable if you don't have it too frequently! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Loved the vlog, hi from Miami Beach ⛱️
Aww thank you! Miami Beach! We were there a few months ago!
I saw you both on the tube last year and was so excited! I was too shy to say come over and say hello and i. Sure you would have appreciated your privacy too. Hope youre both well, I enjoy your videos and stories!
Haha no way!! Bless you! You should definitely have said hello! No we love socialising. Thank you for watching and supporting us ❤️
I started dating an Indian guy from Haryana about 7 months ago. I’ve been listening and seeing so many things on RUclips/reddit to prepare myself for the best and worst case scenarios. Researching is how I found this channel. I never really see a similar interracial pairing. He told me his older brother had a love marriage (with an Indian woman), so he feels his family will accept me. I still have my doubts as a Christian black woman who eats meat and knows only one word of Hindi! 😂They still don’t know he’s even dating me. Only time will tell. But hopefully he’s willing to stand up for me in any scenario.
Hey!! Thank you for sharing and commenting! We have heard of stories where the guy's family is from India and he lives in the States and the parents are accepting of the relationship. You will be fine ☺️. As long as you both stand strong together no matter what. Keep us posted. We would love to hear an update. We wish you both the best ❤️
@RajenandAfiya I appreciate you guys. 😊
Just came across this video after subscribing. I rarely comment but, Love watching your videos from the U.S. Thank you for sharing your story. I can definitely relate. My mom was also a single mom of three and i’m the eldest. My mom was everything to me. She battled lupus majority of my life, but I was never prepared for her to go. She was so strong and brave. She passed in 2022 she was 43 and I was 23. I cry so often, missing her and just feeling incomplete really. Im learning to understand God released her from pain. They still live within us, blessing and peace to you and your family. 💕
You guys are beautiful and strong. Afiya, you’re my namesake, and Rajen, you’re wearing my country’s pendant on your chain which makes me love you guys more and more. All my love to you both. ❤❤❤
You guys crack me up! Wish you the best. You are so good together.
😂❤️
Looks perfect. Great job. Try using salmon. Do everything the same just add the salmon last. I notice you did not have to mash up the squash to give the soup colour, it looked like it dissolve on it’s own. Looks really nice. And I see you both really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Yes, butternut squash dissolves quickly when you add it earlier on. That sounds interesting. We will definitely try with Salmon 😁

I hope that. The men doing this trend understand that they were just fine and quite attractive before
Nice seeing you cooking. Looking forward to see another dish👍🏽🥳 Rajen's " Don't come at us"😂😂 Take no notice if they do👍🏽🤷🏽♀️
Haha thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it!
I was like whereee is the soup mix, was added at the end 😅. Beautiful, must try with some king prawns next.
Haha! That sounds interesting!!
Hello Rajen and Afiya! Sorry to hear that you are not feelling well! 😔 Please get well soon! The soup looks amazing and delicious! 🥘😋 This is hysterical as I just made a big pot of Jamacian curry chicken soup this week as we are in the midst of a below zero bone-chillng Polor Vortex!!🥶😰 This beautiful soup for the soul is right on time!♥♥♥♥ Rajen, you are a skilled cook👨🍳♥♥ and I love that you do a fair share of the cooking. I was trying not to laugh as you were stealling the bowl from Afiya! LOL! Very cute!♥♥♥ I will try this soup recipe next week, except for the Scotch Bonnet (too hot for me!). It would be great if you could share more cooking videos of the different foods including soups that you love. I would love to try new recipes! I love garlic and actually grow my own garlic, so any soup that features garlic (lots), I would love to try! Thank you again for sharing! Sending love from the USA!♥🥰♥
The thing is my wife was making soup as well not your soup but soup never the lest, both looked delicious. You two can burn some pots😋😋
Haha the soup always goes quick!! Probably last 2 days for us! Haha!
Love it! Great video, I can smell the soup via my screen lol. I was wondering if you both do movie reactions? There's a movie called "Golden Child" with Eddie Murphy that I would love to hear your take or reaction on it.
👋🏽 Helloooow Mr & Mrs Rajen & Afiya; Happy Sunday! 7:35pm 19/1/2025 🇬🇧
That is not a Jamaican soup, that is a JamIndia soup 😂😂😂 Did you say vanilla in the dumplings? Looks good though……you’ll put your own twist on it, Stay well and Happy New Year 🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂❤
Beautiful people, beautiful food. 👍🏽👍🏽
