Logan connects with a big long beard beard on opening morning in TN. He is from Ohio and has never killed a turkey in TN. We were able to set him up on opening day and he put the smack down on one with the Stevens 301 20 ga paired with some federal premium TSS #9’s. God is good and we were thankful to spend this time in the woods with our brother enjoying Gods beautiful creation!

Which rings did you get for the Crossfire? The medium height Vortex hunter rings were too short for me.

Thanks for the video. I've been looking for a short barreled single shot to use out of some cramped ground blinds, and this looks like a good cheap rifle to try for that.

The wood on those are really attractive. I ordered the synthetic stocked 6.5 cm because I'm terrible about beating up stocks and I have a 30 cal rifle already. Hopefully mine shoots good like yours

You think the lighter grain bullet helped with the grouping going from 180gr to 150gr??
I’m sure it did, but with it being a 1:16 twist rate on the barrel I wanted to try all I could to see which performed best ! Definitely seems to favor the lighter weights.
Check your scope rail. Pull it off, clean any oil under it and re-install with blue loctie. My rail was loose and had grease/oil between the barrel and rail.

Where did you get the hammer spur?
@@cotheceo I think I ordered mine off Ebay. But I think multiple online websites carry them. I think the technical term for it is “hammer expander” when you look it up. Hope this helps !

Been waiting on a review myself. Try cleaning the barrel with a solvent and try the copper rounds again. I’m willing to bet that group tightens up!

Are your scope rings med or high? I was looking at a Burris Fullfield II 50mm, and was hoping to get it on med rings, but if your 42mm barely clears….i wonder if i’ll have to go highs…?
Hey man they’re mediums. I would say you’re going to have to run highs to fit the 50 mm scope !

Just ordered the stevens 320 turkey 20 gauge. Is it drilled and taped for that pic mount you have? I wanted to run red dot.
Yes it is , I want to say a mossberg 500/835 rail works. I couldn’t find any info on what to use and had an extra mossberg one on there and it fit like a glove. It’s been so long since I done it that’s why I say “I think” though lol. Hope this helps !

I have the Stevens 334 in walnut stock in 308 and the 6.5 creedmoor. I just recently bought the Henry H015 in 30-30. It’s a really nice single shot rifle similar to the handi rifle. You need to check them out.

What size scope did you have on the rifle?
It is a Burris Droptine 4.5-14x42 scope.

I’m not entirely sure but through seeing them online etc I have not seen a left handed one yet unfortunately.
When Savage starts making them over here I would consider one, but I won't give my money to the enemy/Turkey....

How high of scope ring did you put on it. Like mediums or highs.

Medium rings if you are using a 50mm you might have to use high
Sweeet. Good choice of caliber also. Over the last 4 years, there has never been a shortage of.308 ammo. At least not in my area. Always lots of it on the shelf.
I have the synthetic model in 6.5 Cr, and I haven't tried it yet. The 308 would haven't been my first choice. Congrats. Dave & The Girls

Where did you find it for 350?.. ive not seen one in wood for that low...only the synthetic version...normally the walnut ones are 399 and up

I looked at one yesterday and almost bought it. Will be getting it for my son for his birthday in a couple months. Very impressed with the stock and everything I’ve seen as far as shooting. Will adjust the trigger as needed.

Yes it is very possible ! I’m still fairly new to reloading so I will have to tinker with a couple loads/bullets and see what I can do! And I’ve seen some as low as 110 grains but never tried any that low.
