Welcome to my channel. I make short films of my world for your eyes. I hope you enjoy them.
Feel free to subscribe and share my videos to let others see them. The real stars in all of my films are the beautiful scenic views that im very lucky to have visited. I try to give some information with each video I make or label places of interest within the actual films themself however sometimes the scenery does all the talking. Each video is very personal to me and carries a specific memory. Most good, some not so good but there all the same for your viewing pleasure.
If you like my films let me know. If you have any suggestions on places that may be of interest to you for me to film again let me know.
If you wish to use any footage for commercial use , please email me at the email address on my profile. I am happy to share my footage within reason for private use with the caveat that you credit me for use.

Beautiful! Fantastic music. Oban is beautiful too. What a lovely day for it. Peace and love to everyone!🎉❤
Very nice. Great music too. I’ve never been to Aberdeen.
Thank you. I create my own music for each video now using AI. It’s takes quite a few attempts though 😂
@@droningonscotland wow! You are very talented. Thank you! Keep droning! Drones are very useful. People don’t get to see their neighborhoods from above. To see the street designs and even hidden areas etc. It’s fantastic .
Reading your description, I hope you're doing OK today. I want to say that you drone videos are absolutely superb. I can't put it into words. I lived in Inverkip between the mid 1970s to 1983, and your drone videos over the hills and streets take me back to that time. Your videos are well presented, you know to get your drone up at dusk and get the best kind of magical light. You might laugh at this, but a couple of years ago, I bought MS Flight Simulator to try to "capture" the Clyde in my virtual simulator. I took the virtual camera above places like Dun Rod, Inverkip Marina etc. Your drone videos are incredible to me, this is what I was looking for. Anyway, I hope you're doing better today. We all go through tough times. Goodness knows I've been through them. I hope you're better.
Thank you so much. I've a few local ones that you might like coming up on the channel. I really appreciate your feedback. I know what you mean about Flight Sim. Its amazing now. I occasionally use it on xbox live.
These videos of yours around Greenock are magical! I was there from the mid 1970s until 1983 as a boy growing up.
Hi have you drawn the drone giveaway results

Hi what about drone giveaway did i win😊😊😊
Nae Clune Park?
Ive got some footage before the fire so I'll take a look at it and post it. I dont really like the whole 'Scotlands Chernobyl' label that lots of urban explorer channels have used for it. Im trying to show a positive slant on it if I can.
I live here Dorset road isn’t a thing it’s called Cambridge road
Thanks for that. Sometimes I get it wrong or the map I use has it mislabled, but Im glad you noticed.
Is Angus Road completely gone now
Im not 100% sure but I'll ask around and see what I can find out.
Loving these bro keep them coming amazing work x
who win the giveaway
To maximise the chances of viewers of this channel, im going to wait till I have at least 10 comments from individual viewers/subscribers and then I'll do the draw. Sorry for the inconvenience. You're in the draw anyway. Good luck.

Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot to me.
Well put together with comments to.
Love this. Markinch resident back in the day.
Love it! One of my favourite places.
My father was born here in 1912; and grew up there until he was 10 and emigrated to the US
Thanks for sharing your memories and thanks for watching my video.
Sorry, I am from Airdrie and the best way to enjoy peel park is to sit with a fish supper and leave the birds alone. I adopted kirkintilloch during the pandemic and have visited ever since. Have a look at Airdrie and consider yourself fortunate you live there
Don't apologise, I used to work in Airdrie. I quite liked the place. I no longer live in Kirkie due to reasons beyond my control
Thank you, yes Airdrie has it's problems like everywhere else but kirkintilloch has the forth @clyde canal and I enjoy sitting at the marina looking at the boats!! Yes, I do like kirkintilloch and visit often, regards!
Can't see a thing from up there
Thanks for sharing your memories of the Port. It's so lovely to read peoples comments and memories and makes what I do worthwhile. I was born in 68 and left the port in 95 but came back last year due to some personal circumstances beyond my control. Australia and NZ are both on my bucket list to visit one day
I love you Yearn 😍😘🥰
I can see my old house up Bar-d
Loved growing up in broadfeild avenue when I was a kid , everyone new won another, day's when you could leave your front doors open , now community's are distant and no won gives a dam for the places they liv in , would if possible go back to the 70s and 80s magical era's growing up in my town off port glasgow, thanks for the video pal brilliant video 😉👍
Thanks for the comment. Really appreciate it when people take time to comment on my work. I grew up in the Port around the same time and it was a great place to live.
Port not a bad wee town , was born there same as my wife , moved away to find work in the early 80s to Luton in England OK for working there but didn't like it one bit moved back to Scotland after nine year's then to Highlands to inverness in early 90s happy to say now we're back and settled in our own wee town off port glasgow, where the people are always friendly and welcoming wouldn't want to be eanyware els now , little towns got lot's going for it nowadays, with beautiful views off the Clyde, don't know what you've got till you've been away how lucky we are to liv here, in my early 60s now and here to stay 🌄
Im in the same position. Left the town 30 years ago. Marriage ended after 30 years last year and its brought me back to the town not through choice but i'm learning to make it home again after being away for so long.
Well done!!! You've actually done the near impossible and made the Port look like a half decent place!!!
Thank you
Brilliant work pal.
Thank you.
Wonderful, I was born there, left in 1962 for New Zealand
Lots more videos to come, i've just not had time to edit and upload yet. Thank you for your comment.
Great vid, keep up the good work 👍
Thanks! 👍 I've lots more coming soon. Just havent had the time lately.
Great wee town these days especially with the big shopping precinct as you drive in from the greenock end. Best town in inverclyde by a mile.
Couldn't agree more!
This was the tonic I needed, grew up there sixties, seventies & early eighties. Especially poignant thinking of my parents forging a life through tough times. Thanks for posting, I needed that. 🙏
Thank you for taking time out to comment. I remember growing up in the Port in the seventies. It was always full of life with the young families and the noise of the shipyards horns.

wild deer kirky
Thanks for sharing the link. I'm impressed that they were so tame. I remember a few years back driving along Cairnview in Waterside and there were 4 wild deer all running in front of the car. They jumped over the first hedge they could into someone's garden. I felt like Santa LOL
We called them the stabs
Thanks for the information. I've heard that word before in fence building so it makes sense.
@@droningonscotland think some of the wood was sourced for finlystone est not sure
I was brought up in poplar street, went to chapelton primary school in 1950s, this was in lillybank road. Remember railway line behind poplar street gibbshill. above that, the violet plain, worked in yards as a welder when i left school.was part of fitting out squad which meant working on boats after they were launched. Inchgreen drydock and kingston basin as well as james watt dock. Left greenock in 1971, only been back for birthdays or funerals. Thank you for video, brought back so many memories.
Thanks for sharing your memories. I'm honoured that my video brings back those memories for you. I grew up in Chapelton so the old railway line was our playground. The 9 arches were blown up at the end of the sixties but the glen below was reshaped with the sandstone that came off the viaduct. Used to walk my dog down there as a teenager.
My sister still lives in Mackie Ave. Remember when they blew the arches up. They came round Gibbshill telling everyone to keep windows open so they wouldn,t shatter from the blasts. Thanks for the memories. Keep the drone flying.
Anyone remember the metal dome in the swing park on Burns road , that thing was lethal.
