of a Poetic Luminary
Idara-e-Yadgaar-e-Ghalib was established in 1968. Faiz Ahmed Faiz was its founding Secretary General, and Mirza Zafarul Hasan was the founding secretary. In 1969, the institution not only commemorated Ghalib’s centenary with great reverence but also established the Ghalib Library in Nazimabad, Karachi, the same year. Idara-e-Yadgaar-e-Ghalib operates on a non-profit basis.
