    The bubbles are not totally from the bottom itself - they are the carp releasing water from their swim bladders but yes to feed on the bottom.

      @@gregsmith7821 About 30 years ago I see a bloke catch a 25 lb Mirror on a roach pole with 1 lb line and a size 20 hook on the GUC near the bridge at Farlow's Lake West Drayton it took him well over an hour to land it.

      @@djscottfree2008 No suprise. The 40 a few years back was identified as a known fish from Farlows. Best bet was that at some point, Farlows had flooded, tipped into the Grand Union and the fish went with it. Apparently the angler who nabbed it, was tipped off by a mate who lived on a barge and saw the fish when throwing some food waste over the side.😂

    Hi Scott, im enjoying your videos, i go solo in france myself these days. Can i ask how you get on with the bike trailer,i have been thinking of getting one myself , which one do you use. Thanks

    • @camokhazi
      @camokhazi 2 месяца назад

      Hi, thanks for the feedback. The bicycle trailer is about £80 on Amazon (Homcom or VidaXL). You need to cut the gear down and secure firmly to the trailer. You dont want the bedchair to move. I use some long velcro straps front to back and side to side. Great over flat ground. More tricky up and down steep hills. They are brilliant for the Chemin de halage. You can go Kms to the best spots which are often further from the car park. Good luck with future trips!

      Well done!. I have since discovered that the digital scales that I was using were underestimating by c.500g so, those improved weights don't surprise me. Good to know there is another target common in there. Take a look at my "Canal Monster" clip video. This is of a big mirror in another section nearby. I would estimate this at well over 20kg

    • @camokhazi
      @camokhazi 2 месяца назад

      Thank you for your comment, I take fish safety very seriously. I will consider carefully your point re. fish position on the mat. In an upright position, if only temporarily, their energy isn't being used flapping hard - head and tail - against the mat, with the potential to cause impact damage. However, if you have specialist advice you can point me to that contradicts this then I will review and change my handling approach as necessary. Bw, Scott

      The area is a public park so I have just pulled in the rods and camped-up at night. But, when the GdP are patrolling you don't want to get on the wrong side. There are lots of anglers taking the mickey and breaking the rules

    Great video mate, going down to France in my family’s motorhome this summer and I’m mad into my carp fishing don’t suppose you know any public lakes or stretches of canal that I could have a go on ? (We are heading to the alps however welcome to other suggestions on the way !)

    • @camokhazi
      @camokhazi 5 месяцев назад

      Cheers bud. Any of the canals in the central area of France have carp in them and most villages have a public park area adjacent to the canal or a marina. Suggest just choose your stop off point(s) on the way down to the Alps and stick the rods out. Breadbombing is another challenge - we must have walked 7 or 9 miles that day!
