My brother and I were Navy, my brother-in-law was Army and his son, my nephew is still serving in the Air Force. I have made myself attractive to a hoard of these God fearing people by being a friendly, easy going guy who was lost but was willing to listen to their endless chatter about this Jesus. I never challenged them; instead I gave them reason to believe they were gaining ground on Satan. I had only one goal which was to get a personal unsecured loan in an amount this Jesus freak could come up with without a lot of trouble. With money in hand a friend would call when I wasn’t there to say my dead mother had had a heart attack and wasn’t expected to live. Within hours of getting this message I’d asked permission to leave a few of my things with them while I was gone. Things I’d never see again. I lived on my VA check and invested every dollar the Jesus freaks loaned me. It was a win win situation. They got to witness and I got paid to listen to this Jewish fairytale. I hesitate to mention this, but about every other one of these Jesus freaks had a wife who was about to go out of her mind having Jesus in every room in the house including the bedroom 365 days a year. Then there were the bi-sexual Jesus freaks. In either case I considered it my duty as a new Christian to do what I could for them in their time of need.
