There's 4 public access parks to the upper Applegate river. CORRECTION: Yes You can fish for trophy Steelhead in the Applegate in Feb / March. from Applegate lake dam on down. Public access is a Panther creek park and Cantrell Buckley park in Upper Applegate road......If You raft the Applegate river and Your not a white water expert the go to Cantrell Buckley park in Ruch and enter their as its calm beginner water. NOTE: The ODF map shows a solid blue line in that creek but the creek is dry most of the year it is still considered a " year around stream" , stupid but that's the law
