Hi Wendy, thanks for all the info. I’m thinking of buying this machine as I need a lightweight one for taking to a sewing group. Does it have a handle? How easy is it to carry around? Also on Amazon it says it has a metal chassis, is that correct?

Thanks for this video. My new machine has this, and I was told by the sewing center that they're not used much anymore..... So I left mine in the box. I will definitely put it to use. The in use / not in use comparison was very helpful. Great video!

My machine won't sew . Every time it gives error 01 which is the bobbin

Not to be that guy, but these are not called flying ants. This is an ant nuptial flight. This happens when it’s a rainy day these are basically reproductive ants from different colonies mating and this is how new colonies start so they’re not flying ants. I know it’s hard to understand but

Just not helpful for me, sorry - your hand blocking the view during threading and the directions at 2:40 "easy-peasy up down round round" were not helpful either. After figuring those out somehow on my own, the rest of this video will then be useful. Thanks anyway.

How do you disable or bypass the stop/pause button? I prefer to use ONLY the foot pedal. Thanks!

Hi Wendy, I found your channel when I heard about knee controls and I’m mesmerised! I’ve got a couple of quite old machines without all the fancy electric gubbins. Is that machine actually cutting the thread for you as you switch it to different modes? If it can do that, then do they automatically thread themselves too these days, please? I’m thinking I need to upgrade!!

This machine is ideal for someone who can't lift the old heavy sewing machines. I have a bad back and my machine is not only playing up but the fact that its now become a problem to lift makes me reluctant to spend money on repairs. At the current price of £80, I'm better off buying this. It does more than enough and this video demonstrates that I'd be getting a pretty robust machine. Thanks Wendy.

I have the brother LS14s and I’m a beginner at sewing, I’m curious what the little hole next to the knob at front is used for. I can see that it has something to do with a zig zag stitch but I’m scared to try it. This video was very helpful when I first got my machine.

Looking for a sewing machine that is easy to use and more importantly cheap to buy. This is a great review, think you've sold me to it. As a complete novice to the art of sewing, I am now filled with confidence that I can master this machinery. Then again, I am only a mere man so best keep my fingers well away from the pointy bit :)

Hi I think the thread cutter is on the side which is a strange place but there us a little blade there.

Have you used it to make denim jeans or any denim items? I’d like to get it to use to repair denim and maybe make my own jeans

What needles would you use on this machine is there a pacific name for them ? Or can you use universal ones ?

I bought a used one after a 60+ year old Singer still worked great I gave away. The one I got is Featherlight. Is there a difference between it and Patchwork? There is next to nothing on Featherlight.

I love my Singer Patchwork! I compare it to more expensive ones and there is no way I would give this up for any of them!
