There's a fourth group of people that you failed to mention. That is... What do you say to those who are remarried who's ex-wife or ex husband is still alive. Should they divorce their second wife or husband to avoid being in the sin of adultery?

This is so timely. I’ve been discussing this passage for like six weeks with my friend Paul and then last week my friend Jason asked me about it and J Renihan discussed it on the IRBS podcast recently.

divorce can take place, but there are only two options....reconcile or remain unmarried...

you have the standard false teaching...this is the teaching, but if you are divorced and remarried, somehow we will negate the first covenant, and change the adulterous relationship that you currently have, to a legitimate covenant....would this also apply to a same sex marriage....

Matthew uses the term....except.....so where do you come up with a plural....exceptions....

another standard false teaching as Paul used...δουλεία bondage, and not όριο or bound.....

a standard error.....πορνεία is not sexual immorality, as all sexual activity, in whatever form it may take, out of the marriage covenant is μοιχεία. and there is an example given....er....Joseph and Mary.....

life is simple, and there are a few standard versions....none of which constitute a Biblical reason, for divorce and remarriage...

This is powerful. I have been looking into the Pope, particularly the papacy itself and it’s role in eschatological matters. This was a blessing to hear this discussion today and I look forward to hearing more and sharing wherever I can. God bless. 👊🏾

So Jesus was sent and not God, Jesus is a messenger . The question is, what is the name of the true church. Obviously Jesus did not build your church.

Question 1, what does the baptism represent. The bible doesn't tell us baptism represents anything. Romans 6 says _"Do you not know that _*_all of us who_*_ have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?"_ All of us who, that leaves out everyone who has not been baptized. Does the bible tell us there is another way to be united with Jesus in death? Verse 5, _For _*_IF_*_ we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his._ IF is a conditional statement. Those who have not been united with Him in a death like His (baptized) will not be united with Him in a resurrection like His. Question 2, why commanded. Again what does the bible say? Let's look closer at the great commission. Matt. 28 _Go therefore and _*_make disciples_*_ of all nations, _*_baptizing them in the name of_*_ the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit_ How were the apostles to "make" Christians, by baptizing them *in the name of* Jesus. The parallel passage in Mark 16:16 _Whoever believes _*_and is baptized_*_ will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned_ It makes sense that if baptizing makes Christians then those who believe and are baptized will be saved. Let's look at an example God has given us in Acts 2, the first gospel sermon. Acts 2:41 _So _*_those who_*_ received his word _*_were baptized_*_ , and there _*_were added_*_ that day about three thousand souls_ Only those who believed and were baptized were added. If we look at the other examples of people being converted, we see the same thing. Unfortunately, this is how many today understand Mark 16:16 _Whoever believes __-and is baptized-__ will be saved_ Trust what the bible says, not what you're told, 1 Kings 13. The *bible* says baptism washes away sins, Acts 22:16. Puts us into Christ, Gal. 3:27. Saves us and is an appeal to God, 1 Peter 3:21. There are more that tells us what baptism does, none that tells us it represents anything. It's like how Naaman was healed, 2 Kings 5. Did the waters of Jordan cure his leprosy? Having been instructed, could he have been healed any other way?

God, teach us how to stand firmly in Christ to eternity past. Teach us to minister the reality of the judgement that awaits the sons and daughters of disobedience and humbly pray that we and all will run the race patiently, denying ourselves of the endless freedoms that lead to hell.

This is an honest question. How are you a hospice chaplain, and still actually able to tell the truth...at all? It really is an honest question. If a person is at the end of their life and is in hospice, and has rejected the gospel all of their lives, what are you supposed to say them?

Thank you for the Word preached rightly. He is Risen Indeed! If it is possible, could you upload again last week's sermon. I was not able to listen to the entire message. Also, I was hoping to share last week's sermon with my immediate family. Thank you for your ministry. I am always greatly encouraged for the expository preaching of the Word and also for the topical messages.

Careful. It teaches that gnosis is for all, and through gnosis you are liberated. As a Christian religion Christ and gnosis go hand in hand, Christ is all gnosis. Christ will eventually save all, gnosis will eventually liberate all, that is the Gnostic belief. According to Gnosticism, Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven is here now but men don't see it; split a piece of wood, I am there; lift a rock, you will find me there. Yes, the goal is to join your Father who is in Heaven. And it is something you can experience now and remain after you leave this world. Yes, Christ is inside with you now, "I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

I listened to this message a couple years ago and found I didn’t agree with the interpretation at all. This past Sunday we were studying Romans in Sunday school and I found myself disagreeing with the leadership on the section. This sermon came to mind as I compared and contrasted chapters 7&8. …. Guess I do agree with this interpretation after all! Thanks for preaching on this “uncommon” viewpoint and showing that is well rooted in the context of the scripture!

Spiritual resurrection is an absurd concept because 'resurrection' always pertains to dead body rising alive.

Doctrine and Covenants 88:15 And the spirit and the body are the soul of man. 16 And the resurrection of the dead is the redemption of the soul.

Marriage can't be permanent if as Jesus said there is none in Heaven.
