    With reference to the *Canadians* discussion that went on in the aftershow: Tom O’Neill _did_ eventually find Tom Harrigan. I guess it was too late to put it in the body of the _Chaos_ text, but it *is* mentioned in the “NOTES” (footnotes) in the back. Footnote #35 sheds light on the lines (in chapter 2, “An Aura Of Danger,” in the “In California, Everybody Has a Tan” section) _“As for the other two: I’d learned Dawson had died of a drug overdose in 1986, and Harrigan was nowhere to be found.”_ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 35 Harrigan was nowhere to be found: *I did find and interview Harrigan, but not until 2014.*

    Have you ever looked into the murder of the guy that was found shot in a motel room? I can't think of his name at the moment somethin like Gino Torrellie or something like that. He was one the mechanics that hung around for the sex and drugs. I believe Manson was already in jail when this happened but Bruce Davis wasn't. This is one of the reasons I believe Davis doesn't push for parole. I think he and some others know he is responsible for more than just slicing Shortys shoulder.

    It's something Altobelli went broke later in life. Karma? I went over to Cielo Drive on Sunday and noticed how steep the road is. The hills going up to the property from the road are very steep and heavy with brush. Tex and crew must have been part mountain goat. There are a lot of homes around there. I'm sure many are new, but a lot look old. I asked an old-timer out walking a dog if there were a lot homes there in 1969, he said there were, but of course there are more now.

    Bugliosi,in his best selling book ' Helter Skelter ", actually indirectly places some blame on Sharokh Hatami. Bugliosi states that the wording of Hatami, in telling Charlie Manson,to ' take the back alley '!, was instrumental in causing resentment in Manson against the occupants of 10050 Cielo Drive. Bugliosi argued that in standard American parlance, ' back alley ' signified an area of unkempt condition. Litter, weeds, garbage cans. Manson, in Bugliosi 's words, must have felt like he was being treated ' like an alley 🐈 cat '....

    • @truecrimeandmoonshine
      @truecrimeandmoonshine 6 дней назад

      It looks like the true motive actually had nothing to do with Manson, he just wanted Tex to go out and get the money they owed after the Crowe thing, the location of Cielo was actually chosen by the killers. So anything about how Manson himself felt can be dismissed.

    I read that Sharon's dad, Paul Tate and Roman Polanski, actually, INCREDIBLY, when faced with Altobellis lawsuit, they went and purchased rubber dishwashing gloves, buckets, cleaning supplies. They got down on their hands and knees and scrubbed and cleaned up the blood marks on the carpet. The very blood of his daughter, and Roman's wife. Absolutely mind boggling. I would think that with all their combined money ( a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army, and a very successful movie director), they could hire out professional cleaning crews and dispatch them out to 10050 Cięło Drive.

      @@truecrimeandmoonshine I remember when I first read about Altobellis lawsuit, I was thinking ' that's pretty cold blooded!'( no pun intended). However, when I read the details of why, exactly, the lawsuit was initiated, I changed my stance. The house at 10050 Cielo Drive was a luxury home. It was a very valuable piece of real estate that Altobelli owned and had a financial investment in. Much of the damage to the house was due to the result of Sharon and Roman violating the rules of the lease that they had signed. Specifically -' NO OTHER PERSONS BESIDES ROMAN AND SHARON WERE TO RESIDE WITHIN THE HOUSE '. Abigail Folger and Voytek Frykowski were living there at the time of the murders. They bled, fought and struggled inside of the residence, causing additional damages and blood stains.

      Thanks, part of the reason I started this channel was because there's a "Manson Community" online, mostly in various facebook groups, all made of people who've researched the case for years. The problem with this case is, you could have read 10 books about the case, and only ever have heard the Bugliosi narrative, which is just obviously not true once you compare it to the actual evidence. So you might think you're an expert, and actually hardly know anything, and have learned a lot of bullshit. When people like this were coming to the "Manson Community" of seasoned researchers, people were really hostile to them and called them idiots for believing the Bugliosi narrative etc, and never really explaining anything, so the truth was getting gate kept essentially. So I try to be patient with people, and encourage people to look into the alternative theories. You still get the odd person who can't let go of the Bugliosi narrative, but most people accept lies were told, and there was some kind of cover up now, you have to have your head buried in the sand not to be able to see that.

    If Linda did not participate in the crimes, why was she describing the murder scene to detectives as they walked through the house? None of the killers place her in the house during the slayings. Doesn't add up.

      At the penalty phase of the trial Susan Atkins repeatedly said Linda did go into the house, and even gave her a new knife when she lost hers.

      Not completely cleaning, the blood stained the outside of the cushions permanently. There’s a pic of guests sitting on the couch and you can see the blood stained cushion.

    Odd thing about Rudi was that he said in court that he first thought that Manson might be the killer when he was on the plane ride from Europe, right after learning about it. He said he didn’t tell the police because they didn’t ask … wow. Also, police interviewed Jacobson because he was close to Rudi, and he didn’t mention Manson or Tex to police. Evidently, no one mentioned them at all, ever. Rudi’s dogs went nuts when the police approached guest house that morning, and one even bite a cop. But evidently, none of them made a peep that night … weird …

      The movie Black Christmas with Olivia Hussey has a abortion part... It's a Christmas slasher flick. Many odd things with this case and the players involved. The truth will never come out...... Imo.

    It's most surprising to me that she moved into Cielo in Sept. Prior to the murders even being solved ? That took some nerve , I think. Moving in while the murderers were still out and about. It sure explains why Altobali got guard dogs.

      She also says they had a panic button that linked them straight to the Bel air Police, I think she may have may have meant the "Bel Air Patrol", a private security company.
