    DON'T USE FRAM OIL FILTERS!! They're junk. Probably the worst filters you can buy.

  • @ChowTY42

    That actually sounds really good even for video. I originally bought the cobra full exhaust and it was just too too loud especially for highway riding. I think these will suit me much better and for $350 new! Thanks for throwing this video together and great fly by’s.

    I can appreciate to the fact you almost did the oil service. It’s not as difficult as you made it out to be, once you’ve done it once. I’ve enjoyed my Stateline for the past 13 years, each year I’m so glade I made that decision.

    • @burmesebiker8-6
      @burmesebiker8-6 Год назад

      It’s not difficult at all. I’ve been working on cars and bikes on my own for awhile now. I’m just stating the facts for beginners whose purchasing items online. Sometime eBay/Amazon says “it fits your vehicle” but they actually don’t. I also enjoyed the Stateline as well and just sold it. I wouldn’t buy that line of bike ever again. Worst bike to modify and so ugly.

    • @JW-bw8nj

      Why did you buy the bike in the first place of you thought it was ugly? Not being a jerk, just genuinely curious.

    Just as a side note you only use the oil filter tool to REMOVE the filter , when installing it you want to put a small film of oil on the oring and tighten by hand until it touches and gets kinda hard to turn then turn it 1/4 of a turn past that point by hand, also those filter cups are notorious at not fitting all brands if you have to use it then find a brand it is compatible with and stick with it

    you might be able to put jackstands under both sides of the rear swingarm and then lower the bike onto them, thats how I do my benelli, which has a plug that gets blocked by my lift

    Love the ape hangers. Did you need to change all the cables?

    • @burmesebiker8-6
      @burmesebiker8-6 Год назад

      Hi Dave, no I didn’t have to. But they don’t have anymore slacks at all. So if you’re planning to go any higher then 14” you will have to change out the cables as well. Just FYI, extended cables for these bikes are extremely pricey and only couple companies make those.

    It is very simple. Remove the stock bar, and i used Kemimoto 2" riser. For the handle bar, i purchased TCMT fat 1.25 Ape hanger. The only difficulty i ran into was there's a small bumps on the buttom control switch assemblys that supposed click into the hold on the stock handlebar. You can shave them with a dremel or metal file. Also, you will need to loosen up the throttle cables and readjust them after the throttle tube is in place. You can use the stock cables as long as you don't go over 14" which exactly my set up is. You will need to replace new cables even if you go an inch over. There's no more room on the cables. You can feed the power cables in the handlebar for cleaner look but you may need to purchase extention and rewire. I don't mind the cable sticking out so i decided not to loop the cables into handlebar to avoid the wiring work. Please contact me anytime if you have specific questions.

    Puedes por favor, decirme como hiciste la instalación de el manillar. Tengo la interestate, quisiera saber todos los detalles. Desde que lo quitas hasta que pones el nuevo.

    • @burmesebiker8-6
      @burmesebiker8-6 Год назад

      Es muy simple. Retiré la barra original y usé el elevador Kemimoto de 2". Para el manillar, compré el colgador TCMT fat 1.25 Ape. La única dificultad con la que me encontré fue que había pequeños bultos en los ensamblajes del interruptor de control del botón que suponía hacer clic en la sujeción. el manillar original. Puede afeitarlos con una dremel o una lima de metal. Además, deberá aflojar los cables del acelerador y reajustarlos después de que el tubo del acelerador esté en su lugar. Puede usar los cables originales siempre que no pasar de 14", que es exactamente mi configuración. Deberá reemplazar los cables nuevos incluso si se pasa una pulgada. No hay más espacio en los cables. Puede introducir los cables de alimentación en el manillar para lograr una apariencia más limpia, pero es posible que deba comprar una extensión y volver a cablear. No me importa que el cable sobresalga, así que decidí no enrollar los cables en el manillar para evitar el trabajo de cableado. Por favor, póngase en contacto conmigo en cualquier momento si tiene preguntas específicas.

      Hey George, sorry for the late reply. The bags are easy to find. Just type in Honda Original Saddlebags on google and it'll pop up. Last time I checked, I think they are about $600. Sissy bar, I have no idea. I will ask when I run into the previous owner next time and give you an update.

      No you don't change the differential oil at every oil change. Maybe every couple years or so. Look in the shop manual. And NEVER use Fram filters on anything. They are the worst filters you can buy!
