I LOVE Michelle Cann- she is so efervescent, bubbly and enthusiastic about this! In my mind, I think of Florence Price as Florence *Priceless* . I'm one these old guys who STILL plays CD's (*streaming* audio quality stinks in comparison, and I have a fairly high-end system) - so I have to wait with baited breath for more of Price's music to be released- hopefully on CD.

Thanks very much for this post. Greensmith is not only a marvelous cellist, he is one of the most thoughtful musicians today and I attribute it to his innate musicianship, excellent instruction (including by the wonderful cellist and magnanimous teacher Donald McCall) and a real range of musical experience, including as cellist with Tokyo String Quartet, Principal Cellist of the Royal Philharmonic, founding member of the Montrose Trio, and fine teacher in his own right. I've also heard some of his master classes on RUclips, and he is one the finest gentleman in that role- no pomposity or self aggrandizement. If this sounds like hagiography, sorry, but it is true, and I must say I was blown away by his recording of the Brahms sonatas and the Schumann Five Pieces in Folk Style.

I was hoping to find out also why the devil went down to Georgia...?? Thanks for the wonderful Home-Concert!

I am aware of some of the works but I believe it should be given attention as part of the American Music. I am happy with the sharing of Michelle and how she interprets parts of the composition.
