Once Rest in peace @dickeybettsofficial. I’m sure this tune resonates with those less familiar with his work. Just thinking of the beautiful energy it brings and what kind of person Dickey must have been to have created it. So many other tunes (which I may post another time) that reflected different aspects of his being, the man was a master melody and harmony crafter. ❤️ thanks for the tunes D...

So good!
WOW
Good job guys 🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥
I love the franklins intro. Great rendition. Thanks for sharing❤
I thought that was Jack Black singing at first.
Not the first time he’s heard that! Real name is Paul Slattery, Melbourne blues scene legend 😊❤✌🏻🍄
Really cool to see that y’all guys got two really damn good drummers too just like the Allman Brothers Band!!
I love playing Blue Sky in the key of G major! Glad you guys do too!
pretty damn good🇺🇸🎸🎸👍
Cheers man! ✌🏻❤️🍄
🎉❤❤
On Blue Sky I mentioned Dickey Betts is smiling, now you made Gregg Allman smile. As well as me….. 😊
Dickey Betts is smiling. Excellent cover!
@@Themanthatisi thank you!
WOW!!!!!
@@lithea9395 thanks!
Damn excellent Mates.
@@stinkydogfilms thank you! It’s so much fun doing this stuff
Love that little funky opening. Then nam right into the song.
@@robertdoerr2599 that’s a little jam on Grateful Dead’s ‘Franklin’s Tower’ that the ABB did live sometimes 🙂
When the first Allman Brothers Lp came out i heard Every Hungry Woman on the radio in 69 & had to find out who these guys were as they played both the opening tunes & for a debut album & the radio guy never said who it was, they just played. The Allmans crushed them & filled that album with classic songs that still stand out for ever for anyone with ears back then & now. Still my favorite album as it did change my life & soon after i got the chance to see them twice with Duane & Berry. once at RFK Stadium in Washington DC then at American University which that show is now on CD. I was already starting to learn to play & it was the icing on the cake to stop fooling around & take lessons for 5 years. Still at 68 i play guitar every day. You guys got the vibe & a fine job of playing music from the greatest band in rock history even if this is just my opinion. As we all share on YT i would love to do the same with this instrumental i wrote back in school but didn't record till 87 with some friends on an ole TEAC 4 track reel to reel. Any comments are welcome & again you guys' Rock The Brothers extremely well. ruclips.net/video/RHj04fFTrZI/видео.html
@@paullevine1813 thanks for your message, what a privilege to have been able to see the original ABB lineup! Your tune is great, some amazing guitar playing, thanks for sharing! Please check out the rest of our recent videos where we shot 3 ABB songs in a studio, much better quality than this one! See them here: ruclips.net/p/PLJO986Pon6XlSnWfOqpVeHWJVGtstyjci&si=HUPTl0OpJkAV56X4 Keep on truckin! Greetings from Melbourne
Wonderful. Thanks.
Not bad for "Down Under" although I wish the singer "sang" instead of hollering. Kudos to my Aussie friends Max Fowler, Tamlin & the amazing Geoff Achison, Jeff Lang, & the Bondi Cigars!
Who's kin to Twiggs? Great Job.🍄🍑
Good question. None of us, we’re all in Australia so the chances are unlikely! Saw his name on the back of the Idlewild South LP and thought it would make a good name for an ABB inspired band 😊 only afterwards did we uncover the legend of Twiggs Lyndon, interesting fella for sure!
Awesome covers from the best band around & though they are gone we still have great players to cover great players as The Allmans were. I was lucky to see them with Berry & Duane twice back in 1970 & 71. You guys crushed this perfectly.
Thank you Paul, that is a huge compliment! We love playing this music and that’s what makes it so special, it transcends the generations that discover its magic ❤✌🏻🍄 more to come in the near future hopefully! Please subscribe and share 🙏🏼
Great tone on both axes, well done
@@stevenorman-ny2vq thanks Steve! We try our best! Just a humble Boss DS-1 into a blues jr on the Les Paul, does the job!
Nice jam, one of my favorite ABB songs.
@@thecrossroadcafe7291 thanks mate! Glad you liked it! More ABB tunes on the channel 🍄✌🏻
@@thecrossroadcafe7291 thank you! It’s a good one out of soooo many amazing tunes. We do 2x 1hr sets when we gig, wish we could film them all!
@@duncanschmoll My friend Chad an Allman Brothers tribute band called "Idlewild". I just saw Duanne Betts in Wheeling. Fantastic show with Little Feat.
@@duncanschmoll I watched Whipping Post. Thanks!
@@thecrossroadcafe7291 I think Don’t Keep Me Wonderin came out the best in this session. Thanks for watching!
Are ya'll named after the late Twiggs Lyndon by any chance? Either way, ya'll "Hit the Note."
We sure are, thought it would be a good tip of the hat to ABB history and not as obvious as a song title or somethin’ Thank you for listening!
Great versión of one of The Allmans Masterpieces.☮️
Fire 🔥 📛 👩🚒
Do you know Twiggs Lyndon? You all sound Great.
Never knew him personally but his name inspired the name of the band!
That's about as Good as it gets. Dudes ya all kick it.

Wow ripping
Unreal playing mate
Absolutely fantastic. Probably my number one guitar pieces. Beautifully performed. Well done.
Thanks Butch! It’s my moms favourite too, she always called it the ‘twiddly’ tune
Fabuleux.... Swing et créatif Belle hommage
Your performance is wonderful but i' ve never Heard an interpretation as perfect as John Williams
Thanks! Williams was my first guitar hero, he's the best!
awesome dude
RIP, Brother Dickey. That was great
Now at some point I believe you just showing out...
Yeah man
nice! chris cain is in my opinion the best blues guitar of all time.
Hi Duncan. May God bless your hands. Thank you
Well done! Definitely could hear Mr Cain stuff going on! Nice!
Thanks David! My fingers still hurt from the massive bends!
I listened to this for the first time about two weeks ago and now for the first time again. Just beautiful. Thanks Duncan!
Thanks Butch, appreciate the kind words and you taking the time to listen : )
Peace in the heart…
miss you bro! wondering when we'll cross paths again
Beautifully soulful 😊
thank you brother :) <3
Great playing! Just curious - Did you transcribe them all? Cheers!
Thanks Sameer, I sure did!
Awesome. You did a great job. 👏The first time my mind blew when I discovered Mr. Cain was him playing those sweet sliding rhythm fills on Black Cat Bone with Matt Schofield.
@@sameerchaudhary465 I know that one! Yeah those 3rd slides are great, I’ve stolen a few of those ideas in my own playing!
Duncan. Thank you for that wonderful thing!! That brought Tears To My Eyes. You Do it Much Better!! All The Best Duncan Thanks - this is from Chris Cain on Suzy's laptop.
Wow! Thank you for the inspiration Chris! I look forward to the day when I can see you perform live, alas RUclips videos will have to do for now and thank you for these kind words, fuels the fire to even come close to your virtuosity one day! The minute I saw you perform this particular solo I HAD to work it out, many valuable lessons learned and many more to go! Take care and enjoy every moment
...and thank you Suzy for bringing it to Chris' attention :)
@Duncan You are very welcome. Chris really is touched by your interest in his playing.
@@suzytyler4793 Hi Suzy and Chris, i'm so delighted and thrilled to hear Chris will be touring Australia in August and September! If he needs a rhythm/sideman guitarist for any or all of those dates I am offering my services! I promise not to play any of his licks :)
