Kirkstone Pass Via "The Struggle" On A Triumph Bonneville - POV Ride (No Music) - Lake District UK
Waterhead, just outside of Ambleside to Hartsop, near Patterdale, via Kirkstone Pass & The Struggle on a Triumph Bonneville T100. A nice relaxing ride along one of the most recognisable roads in the Lake District in Cumbria, UK. There’s no music in the video, just the lovely, deep rumble of the Triumph Bonneville Peashooter exhaust pipes resonating throughout the majestic, mountainous landscape. Along this route you’ll see a few interesting and history rich sites, including the peculiar Bridge House in ambleside and the ancient pub The Kirkstone Pass in, which has been service food and ale to weary travellers and curious tourists for over 500 years! The weather wasn’t the best for this ru...

This is the full, almost uncut footage of this entire route, filmed in glorious 4K, with just the relaxing sounds of the bike (plus a little wind noise) to enjoy. Thi...

UK’s BEST Biker Roads - Hartside Pass On A Triumph Bonneville T100 - September 2022 4K

Living in Cumbria, I'm fortunate enough to have some of the UK's finest scenery just a short ride away. The Lake District on the doorstep, the Pennines a stones throw to the east, and Scotland is just minutes up the M6. Such awesome scenery is often accompanied by equally awesome roads, usually technical and twisty as they traverse the beautiful but rugged terrain. In this series I will be taki...

TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE POV Ride Along One Of Scotland's Most EPIC Roads - 4K 2022

Riding my Triumph Bonneville T100 along the most scenic scenic route I’ve ever ridden, from Glencoe Village, southbound along the fast twisty A82 through the amazing mountain range down to the River Etive Bridge just over eleven miles from the fuel station I started at. I hadn’t planned to do any filming on this day, it was the journey home from my North Coast 500 trip where after 4 days of fil...

A Moto Camping trip with my Dad to the British Superbikes at Oulton Park Circuit, round 9 of the 2022 season. I'm riding the Triumph Bonneville T100 and Dad is on his Triumph Street Triple. I was originally planning to camp at the Oulton Park Campsite, thinking we could just turn up and be fine, that was fully booked by Friday morning. After a couple of calls I got us booked in at a lovely spot...

How many days did it take you?
I really enjoyed the video! It's awesome to see such a cool ride. However, I wish there was more raw engine noise instead of the music. It would make the experience even more immersive.
Stopped at that castle it was so hot that day
👍
👍
Good videos. Im doing the trip in August on my harley
Great vid Gav, love that route, live just off the A686, so a regular route of mine as is the road from Alston onto Hexham. We need to meet up soon for a ride out, I’ll take my Italian Bonnie!
That's excellent movie making, everything is great, amazing movie, thanks
Thank you very much mate. Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
A very challenging road in bad weather conditions, made worse for the rider on a naked bike🥴
I bet it can get pretty dicey at times. The naked bike didn’t really bother me too much if I’m honest. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
doing the nc500 in march next year, hows it compare to hardknott pass in terms of difficulty? Did that on a vfr800 and was not to bad in the dry although I wouldnt say easy either lol
I’ve not rode hardknott pass yet but it’s on the list. I would say the most challenging part of the NC500 would be the Applecross Pass but that wasn’t too bad if you’re ok with steep hairpins. I’ve got a video of the full thing on the channel if you want to see what it’s like 👍🏻. You’re going to love it though mates, there some awesome roads and even better views.
Thank you ..awesome ride 👌🏻
Glad you enjoyed it 😊👍🏻
Lovely weather, beautiful road, great motorbike, a fine rider. Everything perfect.
Thank you kindly, very much appreciated 😊.
Typically spring riding weather 😂😂 at least it keeps away most of the tourists so you can enjoy quiet roads 👍
Very true Mike, the place is heaving in summer time. 😂 yeah, as good as it gets in spring time 👌🏻
Just stumbled across your channel - great video. Looks like you had an awesome time. And nice to see Lee Jackson pop up, a local and lovely lad.
Thank very much, we did, it was brilliant. Got a couple BSB trips planned for this season too!
Thanks for those superb videos. Freddie Dobbs sent me here after him raving about his air cooled Bonnie 👍Cheers
Thanks for the lovely comment mate 👍🏻. Brilliant, Freddie has a fantastic channel, one of my inspirations 😁.
This was really soothing to watch. Keep it going!
Thank you mate, much appreciated 👌🏻
Nice drone footage. Thx for sharing the journey.
Thanks mate 👍🏻👌🏻
Excelente moto, belas paisagens da linda Escócia e, parabéns pelo excelente vídeo. Muito bom. Muitos kms de aventura conduza com segurança e divirta-se . My name is Sousa. Portugal.
Muito obrigado Sousa. Thank you very much 🙏🏻👍🏻
Great review and especially on a naked bike.
Thanks Paul!
don't put any background music on...the sound from the exhaust itself is a joy to the ears😄
😂 Most my new videos will be little to no music. I’ve got a method to try out getting all exhaust/engine with no wind noise. I’m keen to test it out 👍🏻
You lucky sod!
I would say 😁
Great vid, enjoyed the commentary - if time permitted, a down and back for a different perspective would be sweet. Nice riding!
Thank you ☺️ it would be, I’m going to do the trip again the opposite way round someday on my other bike so it’ll come in time 😁. Thanks again 👍🏻
great vid mate, what was the kit you used? im looking for a tent as i fancy doing this on my vfr1200, cheers
Thanks mate 👍🏻. I used a 3 man tent with an inflatable mattress and sleeping bag as the essentials. If you check out my moto camping the BSB video I show a lot more of the camping gear in better detail too, like setting up the tent and camp and the cooking stove🙂. All the names of gear is listed in the description too 👍🏻
The NC500 is on our to do list. I have family outside of inverness, i was hoping to do a Scottish run from my home in wales last Oct. Maybe in summer. I've subscribed after a RUclips suggestion. Ride safe, Lady J Rider
It’s a must ride, well worth the long journey up there. Just watch out for the midges in the summer time. They’re brutal. Many thanks, much appreciated. Always do, same to you 👌🏻👍🏻
I haven't ridden it but I drove it back in the summer of 2009 in my son's car. Spectacular! Would have loved to have ridden it.
It’s never too late David mate! I bet it was still pretty fun on 4 wheels mind.
@@GLoveMoto Actually it is too late. I'm 81 in February and broke a hip in October '01 It's taking a long time to heal, but I don't think I'll ever get back to the UK.
Rode it in 2019, also with a bonnie. I did not know then it would be the last trip with my dad. Bittersweet memories! Thank you!
That’s rough mate, but what an awesome last trip to have taken with your old man. You’re welcome, thank you 👍🏻
great vid man - looks like you've done that route a few times 👍 I've not passed my test all that long so I'm still bimbling along checking me mirrors 800 a minute 😂 subbed
Thanks Chris, yeah once or twice mate 😂. We’ve all been there pal, I remember it well. You’ll be dragging peg before you know it. Appreciate it mate 👍🏻
Stunning roads! Subscribed great vids
Thank you mate, much appreciated 👍🏻
Nice video, yes I have rode it, I’m lucky I now live just east of Inverness so am able to get across to the west coast as often as possible, the roads are spectacular on a bike, looking forward to the longer days to get back again, thanks for the video 👍
Ahh man, some of the finest roads right on your door step, I’m jealous. Yeah me too, I’m hoping to get up to visit Skye this year when it starts getting a bit warmer. Thanks for watching Mike 👍🏻
@@GLoveMoto Skye is terrific, just make sure you visit early in the year before the midge’s come out because they will eat you alive, believe me I speak from personal experience, all the best
Oh I know mate, I made the mistake of doing the NC500 in august. Lesson learned, them midges are relentless haha. I’m thinking of going in early may so should be alright then I’d say. Thanks for the heads up though 👍🏻
Well I made through the video! Which again was an awesome ride. Not done the ride yet, but hopefully in the coming year, usual Terms and Conditions apply. I assume you went around anticlockwise? Is that better? I also have to say, I get a little concerned about your keys flapping around in the wind......Cheers.
Thanks Mike, much appreciated 😁. You’ll love it mate, it’s spectacular. I did go anticlockwise yes, I think it’s better as the scenery gets more impressive as the go. 😂 yeah they do seem to flap rather aggressively. Thanks for watching mate 👍🏻.
Did you call in The nook farm shop/cafe? That's a good road as well. Good videos mate really enjoyed them 👍
I’ve not called in there yet but it looks like a nice spot to stop. It is yeah, I usually use that road to get to or from the Hartside Pass. Thanks Mate, I appreciate it 👍🏻😁.
Great video, well done and thanks for sharing 😀
Thanks Robert 👍🏻
Pretty bike, nice film thank you for sharing! 👍🏻🙂
Thank you very much. Glad you liked it 👍🏻
What a nice ride. Thanks for sharing.😊
Thank you for watching 😊👍🏻
Another great view unimpeded by a windscreen! I agree, terrific road only spoilt by the BMW "comfort braking"! When I went the cafe ruins were still there. Another interesting fun route in the area, is the one from Settle to Hawes via Ribblehead Viaduct. Cheers.
Cheers Mike, yeah I felt sorry for those poor brake pads, must go through 3 sets a year 😂. Yeah I remember that too, the ruin was there for a little while before it got ripped down. Oh, sounds like a good one, noted. Cheers mate. 👍🏻
looks like an incredibly fun route! Going to have to get myself up there at some point in the new year!
Do it mate, it’s a quality road.
I know it's December right now was it cold on this ride did you ride this month and that part of the world I would think it was really cold?
This was actually filmed towards the end of September mate. It wasn’t even that warm back then either, December up there would horrible.
Looks great. Which direction would you say is best - east to west, or west to east?
Hmm, that’s a tough one. I’d have to say I prefer west to east but there’s basically nothing in it. It’s just as good whichever way you take it.
What a great scenic ride! And some good dirt practice too! I wish I could find trails like that to ride more often!
It’s a pretty epic road. The whole route is actually tarmac, just in varying stages of disintegration. Absolutely fine to ride on though 👍🏻
carry on from Alston to Hexham also a great road . lots of sweepers over whittfield and hairpins on the climb up to hexham
Nice one, thanks Dave, I’ll have to give it a blast 👍🏻
What a fantastic road, Twisties on the way up, sweepers on the way down, lovely expansive scenery on both sides and some well maintained tarmac. It's pretty exposed but then if it wasn't you wouldn't have the views. It's a pity about the Hartside café, I'm sure there's still some good business to be had there but for how long? With plans for restriction zones, daily life will be hard enough and pleasure rides a thing of the past.
It’s a proper corker of a road, super fun to ride. Yeah this is it, down side is the wind can affect cornering if it’s strong enough but the views are worth it. It is yeah but I’m sure something else will spring up, I read the plot was recently bought by a developer who’s planning a pretty impressive looking cafe. Hopefully work will start soon, it’d be nuts to have nothing up there, even with the waste land everyone still stops at the top so a nice spot to get a brew would be ideal. Thanks for watching mate, much appreciated 👍🏻
Great video, it really is an awesome road to ride 👍
Thank you mate 😊. Aye It’s something alright
Wonderful video have a nice journey. Welcome to my new channel travel time
Lovely watching your video nc500 on my list roads look amazing hopefully one day take my bike up there to 😀
Thanks Carolyn 😊. Get it ticked off the list. It’s a cracking trip, unreal scenery, everyone is lovely. I’m looking forward to doing it again the other way round.
@@GLoveMoto I love too those views looked amazing 😍 im on a 250 atm may I Hit them roads next year 🏍
They really are, keeping eyes on the road can be a struggle at times 😂. Very nice 😊, more than enough power for those roads. Would you go camping too? Yes, make it happen 👍🏻
I say I would be stopping all the time to take in the view's , camping yeah why not
Great video, most enjoyable. Me and the wife rode the NC500, for our honeymoon, by Moto Guzzi Clifornia last year in September. My Bonneville would have been more suitable!
Thanks Nigel, much appreciated 👍🏻. Sounds like a belter of a honeymoon mate. Mm, perhaps, all the more reason to head back that way on the Bonnie I’d say 😁.
Good bit of ridding brother i could hear some frantic gear changes i was gripping the sofa with the cheeks of me arse . It is indeed a fantastic pass and came over great in the video :)
😂😂 thanks Doc. I was pretty tense at 1st but really rather enjoyed it once I got going. Brilliant, that’s what I was hoping. A clear sky day would have been quality but all the more reason to go do it again.
Nice series of videos mate, they have given me a great idea of what the route looks like, hoping to complete it in next year. Some awesome drone footage as well. Just not sure about the music though....🙂
Thank you Mike, I’ve link the campsite websites that I used in the description of the videos if you’re planning to moto camp. Get it book mate, it’s absolutely unreal. Thank you pal, I was really pleased with how the drone stuff turned out, just wish it wasn’t so windy so I could have sent it up more often. Aye, beats listening to the awful wind noise mind 😂.
@@GLoveMoto cheers mate, not sure I'll be camping if my wife comes with me! Did you encounter many mosquitos? I do understand about the music...not that bad really and it did fit the footage.
Yeah unless you have a nice big tourer with panniers and what not it might be a bit of a squeeze to go two up. Just book nice and early then and you should be fine. Yes mate, they’re brutal. I went mid august which is apparently the worst time for them. I hear late spring or late summer is best. Thanks mate, that’s it, I just wanted something that went with the footage and would mask the wind noise. I’ve got a different method for capturing audio now so should be a trouble of a past now 😁
P.S Subscribed.
Nice one! sat in a chair watching it but tensing up as the bends and braking are coming up. Brilliant Thanks.
😂 white knuckle ride mate. Thanks a lot, much appreciated Simon 👍🏻.
Great father son trip.
Thank you mate, it was a quality trip 😁
