I stumbled across this movie quite by accident several years ago and absolutely loved it. I love so many things about this movie. For example, I loved that Ricky's father was so supportive of her. I love that despite this being a small southern town that Ricky still had friends. And I loved that they were able to include some humor into this story. What happened with Ricky and her mom was heartbreaking but I loved that in the end that this ended up being a rather charming love story of how best friends finally recognized that they were so much more than friends.

for some reason i thought of looking on RUclips for a solution, and i stumbled upon this video! its weird that for the first time im able to relate myself to something is online :P anyways, all i wanna say, is ive been going through stuff kind of similar to what you talked about. ive been doing the same things, smoke, etc just to calm myself down. It's good to have dreams hun, they may not come true stright away but that does not mean we need to give up on them. if you can do it ans do it safely then you should. but weigh up what you love with what you will gain and what support you will have there.

6:04 I've noticed that singing along to male vocalist with higher registers like Daryl Palumbo, Chino Moreno, Rob Halford, and similar people helps a little. Matching their singing voices seems to work.

Coming from someone that went to through hell with depression, and came out the other side where things are great. Trust me it does get better, but it is definitely not easy to get there.

I empathize with how you feel. I struggle with the same anxieties. Staying isolated except when working or with family seems like it makes it easier to cope, but it doesn't hon. It feeds the beast and things go downhill. Make a social commitment - just one extra a week, and stick to it. Getting out more does help. Hang in there, and remember that talking about and thinking about anxieties is OK, but ACTION is the remedy that really helps

I feel bad that you have to go through such hardship right now. There is no magic bullet to fix everything and I know it can be hard holding out until some way to a better life presents itself. The scary part of where you are is that you may not be able to recognize the way out even if it thumps you on the noggin. I hope I am wrong about that last part.
