Any news video coming out for the new upgraded version of the roof tent?

Any idea when stock will be back in go outdoors or the other stockists on your site? Nobody has it available and just got the vertex lite tent would like this to go with it

Always nervous about buying a roof tent because it seems like the weakest link is the ladder. Could the whole thing collapse, damaging the car, and potentially injuring anyone in the tent if the ladder gets knocked or starts to push through soil?

What is the minimum height a car can be for this awning to work ? I have a standard height 3 series and would be interested, but dont wannt end uo with an awning thats slack and creased

Dose anyone know how the tent supports it's self whe the ladders are put away?

Well got Hub, it's height range is up to 1800mm for a car (it achieves this height by the use of an expander panel, but, you can't see it in the video as it is zipped up just above the side door on both sides), that isn't mentioned anywhere!. That excluded my VW Caddy as with a heavy duty roof rack the height to top of roof rack is 1950mm. I bought the hub and cancelled it by email (when I realised it didn't have a fitting height mentioned) and it arrived yesterday!!!. It's a lovely well made bit of kit (and I'd love to keep it), but although it might just about fit (I measured it including the pegging down expander strap and expander panel), the only way I can check is to fit it and then I can't send it back. So today it will be returned. My Vertex roof top tent actually fits OK as the ladder is actually higher than stated in spec. This coming weekend I'm going camping to test out the roof tent, shame I won't have a hub to test out too! Perhaps OEX will step in and let me try it if I give a review, it's got to be of interest if it fits smaller vans, there's loads out there, the roof tent ain't just for cars! NB: My original vertex is billed on some sites as a 2 - 3 person tent, I can say that (unless its two small children), only one adult fits comfortably. Also, you may have heard that the ventilation is poor so it sweats, well I can say there are double zips on all windows and the door bottom is zipless so air can easily circulate through, either under the door, with door up and mesh in place and with widows partially unzipped behind the storm flaps that surround it externally (so rain won't fall in).

How high can the vehicle be (to top of roof rack)?

How is the base supported if you take the ladder away ?

Can you still alarm your car while you are in the Tent? Or will movement activate the alarm?

I have purchesed this roof tent. Is it compatible with Thule WingBar Evo roof bars which are 80mm wide and 30mm deep. The intructions mention depth of bar range of 25 to 50mm but no mention of width. When the brackets or in position with them being 80mm they leave a gap in the bracket underneath and looks like the bracket can only take a 55mm wide bar, as I said the instructions just mention depth. Overall really pleased with it, very light and small and quck to put up.

A lot of us are big fans of OEX, even me here in the far North of Finland. I used to be a Vango fan until they (AMG group) became a company who is totally unapproachable. OEX would do really well to promote and engage on here to cement the brand as it’s really good value for money. I now own 4 OEX tents. A lot of us could promote the brand more.

Why not just sponsor English woodsman to review this ? That lad has a lot of respect on youtube for your oex brand .
