This was a fun and wonderful tutorial. Thank you for this. Everytime I hear this song it brings me back to the 70's when Happy Days was on tv and Richie Cunningham and I think Potsy Weber used to sing this.

So I have been playing both Baritone and Tenor Ukulele for about 6 months now, and this is the first time I have found your channel here on YT. This was an excellent tutorial and your method for getting quick and smooth chord changes was new to me and very helpful. I currently practice 20 songs daily, and go through each song at least 5 times per playthrough. I then focus on any of the sections I still struggle with and 9 out of 10 times it is due to slow chord changes. I will implement your technique and hopefully it will improve my playing skills. Thank you for this video lesson and it was so good, that I have subscribed to your channel.

One of your tutorials re playing chords insisted on the thumb being placed in the centre of the back of fretboard. As soon as you started playing rockin around the Christmas tree your thumb was sticking straight over the top I couldnt help but notice

“Always form cords the same way!” That almost contradicts the tip, “learn how to change between cords”. It can be so easier to use a ‘different’ finger to play simple cords. (eg. Am), because it requires less movement of fingers, when changing from the cord before and after it.

Hello from north wales. My two lads in rock bands for years, me unpaid roadie. Picked up guitar, off and on over the years not a complete novice. But could be a lot better! retired now, saw a baritone ukulele tutorial on RUclips. So I bought one, tuned like a guitar, deeper sound, plenty of room on the neck! A game changer for me. Not as frustrating as guitar.

Ridiculous! of course you have to learn the chords. How can you change between them if you don`t know them in the first place?

Thanks for this - your focus on the transition between chords is so much more helpful for a beginner that several other heavily subscribed “beginner” tutorials on RUclips. Love your rendition of this song - I saw Eartha Kitt live in Dublin almost 40 years ago and this was definitely her most memorable song - I can still picture her singing it .. along with the goosebumps! Who knows - with a lot of practice I might just be able to achieve a passible rendition by Christmas!
