You ever watch project farm?? he does actual test on a lot of things an Oil was one of those.. watch that Vid on oil test .. I'm good actually, othan using a heavier weight in which I will do next time But it hung with amsoil believe it or not in a lot of categories..

@@1diybrotha just to let you know I am a 35 year + Automotive Master Technician, I do not need to watch a video on oil. The 6.2L Gen V LT1 engine will run on 5w30 but it is not recommended. The manufacture recommended oil requires DexosR additives to deal with keeping the engine clean and protecting it from heat. Mobil1 0W 40 full synth with the DexosR rating is what the engine needs especially when you are pushing it hard or racing hard. You sound like a smart guy. The oil you use the 5w30 is it because it cost less. The mobil1 0w40 runs about 130.00 just for the 10 quarts needed. You have a very nice car, why not spend a few dollars more to protect the engine?

​@bettyg7710 the oil he used is full synthetic with dexos, and the recommended weight is 5w-30 so I don't get your point, I would use 0 grade if it was freezing outside only.

@@dsmubz I have a 2023 2SS, the service manual calls out Mobil1 0w40 with DexosR and it is the only oil I have found that has dexosR. It is specially formulated for this engine. If you have a problem and you take it to the dealer for warranty, the very first thing they will do is take a sample of your oil and send it out to be a tested to see if it is the proper oil. If it is not the will deny your claim. The manufacture says you can use 5w30 only if you can’t get 0w40 with DexR. And should change it as soon as the right oil is available. I have no problems getting the oil. The cost is a different story. I am a 35 plus year automotive technician and I plan on keeping my car for a very long time. So I use the recommended oil for this engine. Mobil1 0 W 40 DexosR full synthetic. You can get it online @www.americanmuscle.com . 10 quarts @ 13.00 = 130 in oil.

I had to make spacers an hit longer bolts for the bar.. made spacers out of black pipe

Yep an yep, the only reason I did this is because when I ordered the rims they sent the wrong back spacing on the rear rims, it took 4 months to get them an they wanted another 5 months in returning the 2 rims.. so it was faster to just added the studs an a half inch spacer..

@@1diybrotha Perfect! I need to replace both rears. I notice you took off the rotors & calipers and one of the control arms. I seen one video where a guy took everything apart just to take off the rear bearing. In your video you didn't do that and was able to remove the bearing without having to remove the drive shaft. That's what I was hoping for.🙂
