SPEED-PAINTING 80 SKAVEN CLANRATS IN 24 HOURS!!!
Today, just ahead of the release of Skaventide (the new starter box for Age of Sigmar) I tackle a large part of my pile of shame in a 24 hour speedpaint marathon. I have never done this kind of challenge video before on the channel so let me know if you liked it! Feel free also to use this as a tutorial, all paints and techniques are listed in the video. The dip-wash was very satisfying.

My first time trying NMM on a CLASSIC CHAOS WARRIOR!
Просмотров 2982 месяца назад
In this video I paint a model that could well be older than I am! Since I don't have a chaos fantasy army I decided to try out some new techniques including NMM. If you are interested in NMM I'd highly suggest checking out Flameon Minitures (on instagram) for a more hyper realistic style and @TabletopTime who also have an interesting way of doing it. Making CUSTOM Heavy Support For My INQUISITORIAL STRIKE FORCE for WARHAMMER 40K

Today I convert a heavy weapon for my inquisitorial strike force army that I have been working on here on the channel. I think this is one of my best conversions and this time I show you how to recreate the colour scheme too should you wish to use it on your own models. This model uses parts from: -Kataphron breachers -Ironstrider Balistarii -Imperial knight -Tempestus scions -Space Marine Tact...

CONVERTING a squad of INQUISITORIAL GUARD FOR WARHAMMER 40K

Today I converted a unit of the 10,000 a homebrew Warhammer 40k faction of my own creation. The Tempestus scions kit as well as parts from the Grey Knights paladin, strike squad and Space Marines tactical squad were used in the build allong with some scratch building. This was my first major dive into conversion and I highly recommend to those of you still on the fence. This is hopefully just t...
Painting WARHAMMER TOMB KINGS!

In this video I show you how to paint 3 subfactions of Tomb Kings for warhammer fantasy battle and the upcoming old world game in an effective and quick manner. SPEEDPAINTING A DARK ELDAR ARMY FOR WARHAMMER 40K!
Просмотров 14 тыс.Год назад
Today I painted a Dark Eldar army for Warhammer 40k. Originally I had a long time but due to delays I did this all in 3 DAYS for a battle with some friend's. Though we played 3 games and I lost all 3 it was still a great feeling playing with a fully painted army for the first time. Here is a list of paints used if you wish to follow along at home, all paints can be found in the citadel range. P...

    That's a hello of a lot of paining! Solid effort! Seeing as you put a basecoat down for each colour, I'm curious as to why you didn't give them a skin tone spray after the brown so you could smash the skin out relatively quickly? Then basecoat the other stuff as normal.

      Thanks very much! It may have been an idea to do that now you say it. I didn't mainly just because I thought areas I skimped out painting later (like ropes and spear shafts and the such) on would be fine fur brown there the ratty skintone wouldn't. Also I just didn't have one at the time.

    Having painted the 40 clanrats that come in the Island of Blood box last year I remember all too well how long and tiring this can be there is a lot of detail on these rats thats hard to reach in retrospect I wished I hadnt glued the arms and shields on would have made it all easier! Good work and good effort on the challenge!

    • @ThirdAndOnly
      @ThirdAndOnly Месяц назад

      Yeah I know what you mean, I didn't find it that problematic this time because I wasn't so worried about the hard to reach areas. But when I painted my island of blood box those shields were the bane of my existence too.

    Awesome video!! Really impressive work!! I am currently building and painting this box too! How did you glue on the crew members for the vehicles at the end? Did you just use plastic glue? I would like to paint the the vehicles and crew members separately too but have never glued painted minis before will plastic glue work? Or will it mess up the paint ? Thanks again and all the best

    • @ThirdAndOnly
      @ThirdAndOnly 3 месяца назад

      Thanks! When gluing paint on paint plastic glue wont work, your best choice is usually super glue but since it will glue the paint together instead of the plastic the bond can be weak but since its crew it probably doesn't matter. Be careful not to use too much super glue as it can have a weird frosting effect around where you glued. Alternatively you can scrape the contact points back to clean plastic and use plastic glue.

    I don't think the removal of mechanicus symbol was necessary - many imperial vehicles (eg. baneblades or dreadnoughts) have a mechanicus symbol on them. My guess is the ad mech cog is placed near the engine representing the motive force that powers the machine.

    Miniature converting is my favourite part of the hobby and I'm loving the look of this Inquisitorial force so far! I haven't gamed in a long, long while though, no idea what would be available/"legal" for the tabletop, but if you're open to ideas you can knick the one i wanted to use for a small Inquisitorial warband. Psi-Hounds, just literally hounds and handlers tracking Psyker-spoor/taint, I thought the Necromunda Orlock cyber hounds would be perfect for that. Great work, carry on being awesome and take care.
