You definitely need headphones for the demo. The box doesn't sound good. There was no good clean sound to be heard. Sounds like a slight overdrive is activated. It could blow up in your face when you slap the bass.

I got me one of the Wine Cellar thinking the XLR output could be used as DI with phantom power but it doesn't work with phantom power at all. It only sends out the same level as the jack output when plugged to a 9v power source. What's the deal with that?

I love Jo Bass demos and I know phone speakers don't reproduce bass signals well, but I feel like this is the first video I've heard where the rhythm track totally drowns the bass. Unless that's the point of the demo.

Got this pedal and it sounds way better on this bass than it does on a 6 string. On a 6 string sounds like all the speakers are ripped.

I think this pedal would be useful if you were composing stuff but I'm not sure that it would help the mainstream bassist, particularly a musician who plays in a cover band.....unless it is a Pink Floyd cover band?

It's a cool little tri muff clone but it sounds better on guitar no doubt.

The Caline Wine Cellar (overdrive on this unit) and their copy of the Ross comp is onboard this little guy. Cheap way to get a decent preamp, decent comp, 3 bonus power supply banks plus a portable bass rig that doesn't sound halfway bad at all. I can't not recommend it.

Yesterday I put those strings on, Flea signature, the 105 (E) has absolutely no shine, it sounds very dull unlike the others, is that normal? The very old string I had before sounded much better....

I bought thisvpedal and the settings make absolutely no difference. I'm sending it back.

It doesn't sound as good on bass. For guitar my summer nights sound so good,it's like a boutique pedal for $35.
