SJS Classics - Ice Crystal Cavern (2024 Edit)
Another familiar song for most of you. I originally created this tune in December 2017 when I realized that I hadn't made an original song on the PC Engine at the time. Still wanting to get in the Christmas spirit, I decided to pick an icy theme for this song, and is my first song with the name of "Something Something Cavern." It was also one of my very first PC Engine tunes to use completely custom waveforms (up until that point, I had been relying on waveforms ripped by Michirin from various PC Engine games as I had agreed with her observation of the PCE being treated like an NES on steroids at the time by most other folks), all hand-drawn. Like most of my original work from before 2019...

SJS Classics - Galadonia (2024 Edit)
Просмотров 4216 часов назад
Here's a familiar song for most of you. I originally composed this song back in July 2018 using DefleMask. I named it after a fictional spacecraft I drew at the time and posted over on DeviantArt (yes, there was a time when I had an account on that website). A month later, I placed this song (as well as all my other original work up to that point) in the backburner. Then, in March 2019, I decid...
SJS Classics - Tasty Cinnamon Eggnog (2024 Edit)
Просмотров 6119 часов назад
Finally, a legit YM2413 version of Tasty Cinnamon Eggnog. In spite of having a year plauged with IRL problems, my 2017 self still wanted to get in the Christmas spirit by creating this song. At the time, there were no trackers that supported the YM2413, so I had to fake it using a VST by Keijiro Takahashi that emulates the YM2413 in OpenMPT (though I did keep it within the limitations of the YM...
SJS Classics - Firewire Exchange (2023-2024 Edit)
Просмотров 12014 дней назад
If I have one song that served as a catalyst for me to start appreciating my old originals again, it would be this one. Named after the IEEE 1394 serial bus interface, this song was originally created in DefleMask back in May 2018 after I discovered a way of using the Ext. FM3 mode on the YM2612 (to create two 2-OP patches in one channel). I believe it was my very first time using the channel i...
SJS Classics - Jetstar Circuit (2024 Edit)

Song number 7 from my 2019 album The Final Bits. Just because I'm not a huge fan of rock music doesn't mean I underappreciate it entirely. This was a one-off thing I did back towards the start of 2019 to see if I could make a song in the vein of rock music. It sounded decently well, but I decided to see if I could improve the guitars by referencing those used by FM Wizard Savaged Regime (lazyge...
SJS Classics - Winston Welsh's Cloudy Maze (2024 Edit)
Просмотров 8021 день назад
In 2018, I created an OC named Wavetable Wolf. As his name suggests, he's a wolf (specifically a white-furred arctic wolf). I originally drew him with a sleeveless hoodie and jeans. I had created this song based around him and his logic-thinking skills. After I adopted my current username in 2019, I changed his name to Winston Welsh. In 2024, I decided to update his attire to a sleeveless shirt...
SJS Classics - Freeway Z80 (2024 Edit)
Просмотров 22221 день назад
Second of three "Roadway CPU" tunes I made in 2018. It's also the shortest of the three. Like with the 2024 edition of Highway 6502, I adjusted the stereo panning in many areas to be easier on the ears, and the noise hi-hats adjusted for having access to its full frequency range. I also thought it would make sense to increase the song's tempo a bit and tune it a bit higher. The pitch of the kic...
SJS Classics - Strategic Achievement OG (2024 Edit)
Просмотров 17321 день назад
This is the original version of Strategic Achievement, originally made in July 2018 under the name of "Opnistle," with some changes to the patches and larger use of stereo panning. I am much more appreciative of this version these days. Additional changes to this version include tuning the song 15Hz higher and replacing the drum samples. The Casio VL-1 beat on the PSG was also removed as I feel...

Mother 3 (GBA) - Porky's Porkies (Dn-FamiTracker Remake)
Просмотров 1675 месяцев назад
Yesterday, after coming home from work, I decided to transcribe this cover I did in Furnace back in 2022 to DenominatorNth-FamiTracker, mainly to make an NSF out of it. I did make some minor adjustments, since my cover of this song in Furnace did use a high refresh rate to get the correct tempo (which affects the volume macros in two of the instruments). I also made the vibrato a bit stronger t...
SJS Classics - Bonzi Likes The Sharp X68000 (2024 Edit)
Просмотров 1868 месяцев назад
Bonzi Buddy, now available for your Sharp X68000! :grimacing: Song number 2 from my 2018 album "Make Some Noise!" I seem to recall wanting an excuse to use the infamous Bonzi Buddy voice in a song when I learned of its reputation, although the voices were done with Speakonia. And yes, those are the drums you'd find in the default Roland/Microsoft Wavetable Synth DLS soundfont included in every ...
Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up (PC Engine Cover, Looped)

I previously covered this song on Genesis/MegaDrive back in 2021 for a April Fool's thing I did that year: ruclips.net/video/6TiyC80t5_E/видео.htmlfeature=shared Vectrex28 asked me to cover it again on a PC Engine for an April Fool's thing they did this year, that being a ROM containing both an NES and PC Engine game, and the PCE side was where folks got rickrolled. Furnace Dev196 Tests - GBA & Nintendo DS Systems
Просмотров 6498 месяцев назад
What's this? Actual GBA and Nintendo DS in Furnace? Yes, folks. In a future release of Furnace, you will be able to make music for the GBA and NDS. These two systems were introduced in a recent development build of Furnace (dev196, in this case). For the GBA, Furnace will support both the FIFO PCM channels found on the GBA's DMA hardware (2 channels) and a driver called MinMod. This driver was ...
SJS Classics - Highway 6502 (2024 Edit)

One of three "Roadway CPU" tunes I made in 2018. This uses drum samples I took directly from one of the songs in the Amiga version of Fury of the Furries. I basically swapped around the channels to reflect my current channel setup (drum and bass in the earliest channels, lead next, then chords or backing instruments, and finally echoes). I also redid the stereo panning in few places so that it'...
SJS Classics - 21 Marbles (2024 Edit)
Просмотров 1919 месяцев назад
I had originally made this song to celebrate my 21st birthday in 2018, hence the "21" in the title. I don't remember why the word "marbles" is in the title, though. This song uses waves found in the Pokémon GB and GBC games. This 2024 edition of this song features the following changes: the percussion volume was lowered just a bit, the kick was altered, the song is tuned lower, and the tempo is...

In confused about the ym2610 sound chip like how did they get sounds on the 2610 audio chip did they record a keyboard into the sound chip and the sound chip compressed the audio. Or was it like a sound font of multiple sounds, and they used midi to minipulate the sound.
You can very much say the same thing about any sample-based chip by the time the YM2610 came out (e.g. Namco C140, S-SMP in the SNES, etc). Given how the YM2610 was first used in the Neo Geo in 1990, by then, computers and sample disks were becoming common. I imagine that companies may have used in-house computer software that not only could have the composers make music, but also converted any sample they wanted to whatever format that could be played on any chip capable of playing back PCM (ADPCM in the case of the YM2610). This is a guess, though.
@SuperJet_Spade yeah I think the adpcm channels use pitch corrected samples so they use drums for those usually but sometimes in games like metal slug 3 you'll hear 3 or 4 electric guitar channels and some of them are mono and panned to the left or right. And for the drums in metal slug 3 usually the drums will also be on 3 or 4 channels too.
@jaycranmer2001 and another think to take into account is that only one of the ADPCM channels in the YM2610 has a variable pitch. The other 6 are fixed pitch only.
I thought this was a stock trading video when I saw the thumbnail. The music is good though.
super cool!
Cool
Nice!
That's Jammin'
how do i get the ds and gba instruments?
Nice mix of the FM and PSG here. Cute little bouncy bop
why does this sounds like it could be in Streets of Rage
Perhaps in a Chinatown-type level, as I remember a commenter saying something about "a trip to Chinatown" regarding this song back in 2018
If by lore the LX computers from UFO 50 are based on the Z80, then the song title is fitting.
This is really cool
this goes really hard, made my day a lot better :D
You're welcome 👍🏽
My god, this is impressive 😊
i wonder what tags you put in stable diffussion to make that picture
It's been a year, so I don't remember. If I have to guess, I think I may have put something like "an empty space" in the prompt and then picked what felt most appropriate.
@SuperJet_Spade EmPtY
Oh my god, I absolutely love this!
Now do an actual GBA cover of the song!😄🤩😎👌
This sounds so much like the original!
> What is Mini? My new favorite conlang.
no swearing :( this would have been so funny with swearing honestly was funny either way can I make a ytp of this?
Yes, as long as you credit me under the name of my main channel (@SuperJet_Spade) and as long as none of words form a swear word (as it would likely put me out of character).
@@SuperJet_Spade alright, thanks!

Nice Sharp X68000 tune!😄🤩😎👌
2nd!
We need more tracker based tutorials.
This is a great remix. 🎉
How do i get the latest version on Furnace Mobile to get the NDS Sound chip and the GBA MinMod Sound Chip?
How do i get it on furnace tracker on android?
If you have a Discord account, you can join the server here, and find the Android builds in a thread in the general text channel: discord.gg/EfrwT2wq7z Do keep in mind that the Android builds are experimental.
How do I get the NDS, and the GBA Sound chip in Furnace Tracker in Android?
chiptune rickrolled
this is cool but i would suggest toning the squares down a bit
If it weren't for me being obsessed with the BonziBuddy voice, then you wouldn't have made this song featuring the voice.
Nice PC Engine cover of the song!😄🤩😎👌

I opened Furnace for the first time, it's beautiful! Then I closed that effects list windows and was unable to bring it back, it is not listed in the windows menu it seems? I ended up deleting the furnace folder in the .config directory (linux) to get around that.
Hey I did not know about furnace. Can the tunes mdr with it be run on a 3ds natively or would I be running a DS / GBA player rom? This is super interesting!
For now, I believe one would have to write some sort of Furnace module replayer or driver that can be played on an actual GBA, DS, or 3DS. Right now, we have MinMod (a GBA driver by Natt Akuma). I believe tildearrow (creator of Furnace) might have plans for that in the near future.
@@SJS_Second_Channel It might be more of a nice to have rather a must. So it's a tracker wich emulates the different chips with their constraints if I understand correctly. I will try it out when I find time, looks like the is a Linux version for me available, 😁
Very cool!
this is cool, thank you for all your hard work!
This would be amazing if it would actually export to a rom or something
I agree 👍🏽
@@SJS_Second_Channel That would be very helpful. My friend and I have no idea how to implement my GBA tracker projects into his GBA ROMHACK as of yet.

Are you still a Guardians of the Galaxy fan? If so, what did you think of Vol. 3? Great stuff, by the way!
I don't watch movies, but I have seen parts of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Regarding Vol. 3, the part I saw was when Rocket Raccoon was in a coma, and he was in some kind of spirit world. I do know the character has a dark and troubled past, so I was feeling quite bad for him during that part of the movie.
