this would be great if the video was not so dark. Can't see what you are demonstrating
Great video
Thank you coach!
Big kid in the right corner started off wrong at 6:00 (supposed to be left hand dribble) and finished wrong (pivoted the wrong way and passed ball to the wrong line). Good thing kid in red jersey had great reflexes!! Prime example of how important footwork is. Great Video!!
Coaching is teaching. We do this every practice in Travel Ball with 4th graders. They don’t know so it’s repetition everyday.
Difference Balances / Rips
Thank you for your help. You have explained the drill very well! like you said many kids do not know how to pivot and this drill will help immensely
looks like a good drill thanks for posting!
I'm muted my computer and he was still yelling.
Vision - eyes up - Looking at the defender's rim...I use, "Eyes on the prize!" Thanks coach!
nice
good job i will use this
ok
Lots of right foot pivoting. I think getting perimeter players to pivot on the left (right handed player) will help clean up the foot work. this way you can step into your jumper and also balances you...same concept as a right handed lay up going off the left. Kobe has great footwork and uses both pivot feet but is a predominant left pivot pivot guy. Watch the highlight tapes. Footwork is impeccable.
Glen Rice used to shoot in a dark gym. I guess coach is of the same philosophy.

Another great drill for junior players from Jim - well done and thanks for postiing.
Great practice drills - thanks - very useful. Video playback quality is quite dark (I found).
hahahhahhahhha
His explanation is terrible lol kids are all over the shop!
Yes, very good. Thank you!
I like that. Thanks!
awesome drill. great video
Will be using this in HS drills
Very good drill for dribbling, jumps stops, pivots and passing. You can cover a lot in this one but some players will find it too challenging with the footwork. I'd go back a step for a few minutes so they get the hang of pivots and then come back to the drill.
You might already do this but it will save you time by asking one or two kids to repeat what you've instructed so they understand and that they were listening. They often tune in if it's spoken by one of their team mates. You'll save time having to stop the drill and repeat your instruction so you spend more time instructing the minor skills within the drill.
Coach, great job. Love this video; clear, concise and fundamentally sound. Looking forward to checking out your other videos.
he is one of the best coaches in the world
I agree he is definitely one of the very best in my opinion
Great drill, especially when confined to half court practice only. Thank you.
