I loved the worship! I also dug the way you prayed for those going out to minister to the missionaries. And I absolutely was riveted to the Pastor in the sermon. Thank you so much. Very good teaching, thank you. I have a question though. My spouse is Mormon and we have two small children. He wants me to attend church with him half the time and he likewise will come with me to my church. I love the Mormon people but I can’t tolerate their false gospel, twisting of scripture, their hermeneutics or eisegesis. And what is the most problematic is our same shared Christian vocabulary. We have the same words for “most” things but their definitions are different and they can’t see or understand that. I have Christian family friends who brought up the story of Namaan the leper when he asked Elijiah if God would forgive him when he enters the Temple of Rimmon to bow down with his Master beside him. And Elijah says go in peace. I’ve ready many commentaries on this story and though it sounds like it can pertain to my situation I don’t think that it does but I’m not fully convinced either. And then I’ve had my local pastor and his wife share with me that they think it is okay to go with him as long as he is willing to continue to come with me where he hears the gospel preached. I don’t know if the Bible makes it clear what is the right or the more right thing to do in this situation. For now, I am praying, not arguing, and resting in Is 55:11. Your thoughts?

Jesus and the early church very much seem to think humans make a free choice to follow Him or not, but then in John 6:44 and 65, what is the author wanting us to get? Does John disagree with Jesus and the early church? Thank you Dr. P.

What's amusing to me is that a baseball enthusiast or classical music aficionado need NO prompting to share their interest with anyone who will listen. They know the players (both kinds) and the scores (both kinds!). They speak from their love and passion, but Christians must be poked and prodded and given what amounts to a sales program of 1) present problem, 2) offer solution, 3) handle objections, and 4) close.

Moot point. it doesn't matter how "true" it is. It's still focused on a grotesque psychotic narcissistic monster "god" who killed millions of innocent people and ordered the killing of many more, whose brilliant solution to save children from child sacrifice was to kill the boy and send the little girls home with the Hebrews to become sex toys and slaves. Who demands allegiance shown by whacking off the end of a non-consenting little boy's penis. Who gives explicit instructions on the harvesting, keeping, beating, and willing of foreigners as slaves. Who is fine with women being handled as property to where a rapist just has to pay her daddy for his victim's hand in marriage so that she now can relive the horror of her rape every night for the rest of her life. If all that is "true" (which it is since it's in "muh bible" then you have much MUCH bigger problems than going to heaven or hell.)
