JHB the perfect match of power and finesse.
@@samgw9803 Well put
No Way! Ginger Baker was way better on two bass drums hands down!!
Nice feel!
@@AndreasHalvardsson Thank you Andreas!
Yes, well played - I think Bonham took inspiration from Max Roach.
@@AndreasHalvardsson Thank you! Yes: The Drum Also Waltzes 👍
Po co mu dwaa bębny jak wystarczył jeden! Niektórzy mają dwa a nie potrafią grać na jednym np.Nick Mason zabktórego w studio często grał Simon Phillips!
This is really average and not that good. John played better from 1972 on up.
Nice!
Thank you!
Thanks for the post!❤
Thank you for listening!
Love Bonzo but he’s overrated.
If you watch very closely time keeps up with him that's why it went by so fast!!!
O mestre John Bonham baterista do LED Zeppelin foi e é o maior baterista de rock de todos os tempos 🇧🇷🔥🤘🏾🥁👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
In reply to one of these comments,Zep opened for Vanilla fudge on an early tour, and Bonham was so knocked out by Carmines kit that he asked about getting the same kit and a Ludwig endorsement. Carmine got him the exact same maple drum kit and the Ludwig endorsement. This early photo is the proof.
I can see why Ginger Baker hated Bonham’s style in this isolated piece. Without Jones or Page, he really doesn’t carry a melodic beat. He just turns into an uninspired drum drill that leads to nowhere, without resolve. Even Plant admitted he hated when Bonham added a double bass after their first LP because he lost his creative kick timing. Plant and Page would hastily remove one bass drum during his breaks to send a message.
Groove ++++++ Sounds killer my friend. Nice playing.
Thanks very much Larry!
This is the holy grail of Bonham.
spot on great work
Thanks for your support Tim!
Also if ya dig and enjoyed this John B drum iam 😀 you may also enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on RUclips. 😀

Wow, great! Impressive control from super slow to quite quick - nice job! 😊
Thank you very much!
Can't tell me Bonham wasn't influenced by Carine Appice with that kit setup
Excellent thank you !!!

He has two here but he only ever needed one bass drum!
Well done absolutely brilliant
Thank you!
I love the reverence, and I love John Bonham, but there were plenty of drummers melting minds at that time (Buddy Rich, Tony Williams, Billy Cobham). However, few so aggressive in rock.
To me bo one had Bonhams Rhythm, swagger and just soul that is why he is my favorite if all time. Well then there is his unique always musical chops in the perfect place always, his tome, how far behind the beat he was, a d he was always round sounding always flowing/swinging!
Bonzo did more with one foot than anyone could ever do with two.
FABTASTIC !!! THX!
Thank you!
Ginger Baker he's not...
Jimmy Page asked him to drop the second bass drum as there was too much drumming going on for him to concentrate. 2X26" though, lord what a racket!
Some of the great single-foot players could kill it on double bass drum. Buddy Rich of course did his infamous gig where, in response to all the hoopla over Louis Bellson, he demonstrated dazzling mastery. Then there is Ian Paice, who had compete control over the double kicks on the song Fireball. Clean, precise, fast, musical. Mitch Mitchell, in the latter days of the Experience, played double kick very effectively. Bonham? Great as he was, he was not as good a technician as those players. And it shows here. Of course he would be the first to tell you that. A famous quote from him says something along the lines of: the audience at a large concert would have no way of knowing whether he’d just played a double flamadiddle or not, so his focus was on style. On ensuring the band sounded good, and you’d know it was him and no one else behind the drum kit.
”I don't reckon on this Jack-of-all-trades thing. I thing that felling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." It’s a common belief Bonzo wasn’t a technical player but it’s not true
@@bonhamalsowaltzes1601 I did not say he “wasn’t a technical player”. I said he was not as good a technician as the players I cited. His most notable ‘tech’ thing was his doublets and triplets on the bass drum. Rock drummers everywhere sought to emulate that.
@Gk2003m Yeah the bass doubles are very popular. But Bonham also played rudiments in the same league as Mitchell & Paice.
Excellent pédagogique vidéo as always , you have high level bro !
