Okay, let me be the first to react to your clip. I'm an older guy from Germany and, at least for me, it's interesting to see what people from other countries say to our snacks and sweets. To help you with your "Yums"-crate I'll try to write a bit about the products. First these Onion Rings. I'll let the manufacturer say it himself: "The snack is made of natural spring onion flavor. The spicy easy baked corn snack is refined with a delicate blend of real herbs and is made without dyestuff, additives and flavor enhancer." (found on their Homepage) Then these French fry shaped sticks. Again the manufacturer: "The XOX Pommes Ketchup 125g is, with its fruity tomato taste, a snack fun for “frit” lovers. The snack bestseller combines the unique taste of crispy fries with fruity tomato ketchup. It is produced while using the best sunflower oil and sea salt. The product is free of flavor enhancers. Due to its handy size, the pommes-snack is suitable for in-between or as a diversified snack for nice evenings." (found on their Homepage) Lemon wafers. These things are often used as a sweet snack in between or as an alternative to the common cake with our afternoon coffee. Yes, it's a bit on the sour side, but we Germans are well known to be very strict and efficient without a sense of humor. But one of our sayings is: "Sour will make you funny." At least you look funny while eating. The truffle box. Here I'll try to say something first. It's said that the shape of this truffle is supposed to represent the silver buttons on the Halloren guild clothing. The Members of this guild, who pulled very salty water form deep wells to boil it and generate salt from it, btw a very rare and precious product in these days, called themself Halloren. So they called these precious little sweets Halloren (like Hall and Orange, but without the "ge" at the end), too. Stracciatella is something like a milky- cream with small chocolate chips in it. It's very common here in Germany as ice cream. They use dark chocolate covering to make it less sweet. That, too, is used very often here. These two things from the Yum-bag, they are sweets often given to kids at Halloween in home made pre-packed little bags as a filling. The Caramel-Honey I have never tasted, and hope never will, because in my youth there were these ones without Honey and they had been much to sweet. And this texture,... ugh, sorry, but no. The square ones are the sweets from my childhood. Whenever we got a treat in a shop it would have been one or two of these. They are chewy sweets but we almost always sucked them in our mouth savoring the taste. The basic tastes are Apple, Orange, Cherry and Lemon. But today there are more modern ones available like the "Maracuja" or Passion-fruit like you'd call it. Passion-fruit is most used together with Peach and is here in Germany an association to tropical, because of the Passion-fruit taste.
