Du bist UNSERE SCHILD UND SCHUTZ UMARME UNS MIT DEINE FLÜGEL UND DEINE WAHRHEIT
A lush, lovely piece, movingly performed.
What a lovely piece, beautifully played. Thank you for sharing! (I've never heard of this composer previously...)
What a mellow, beautiful piece. I sometimes wonder how they were able, some centuries ago, to compose such profound pieces. Without harmonic faults. Some pieces, are classified under "easy" ones. Nowadays, they do not seem easy whatsoever. What happened from them to nowadays?
Reminds me a lot of Walford Davies's setting of "O little town of Bethlehem." See, for example, ruclips.net/video/QavCwUh4Vgo/видео.html
Yes...we've sung it several times on Christmas Eve. It does follow a similar pattern. :)
Beautiful interpretation! Where can I get the music score for this piece? Thank you!
Beautiful piece! Highest compliments!
We appreciate your playing. But we would like more info on where to find the pieces you use as the basis for arrangements. thanks .
What a beautiful tune.
On looking this up I was intrigued to discover that Henri Mulet was one of Rougnon's students, and that he dedicated the second of these pieces to Mulet. One lives and learns!
Wayne T. Warren - Interesting to find an organ piece by a composer better-known for his excellent madrigals written in an antique style. He also produced some items for the glee and part song genres, plus some Latin church music.. The latter includes a splendid Requiem ( 1851) which one can find on RUclips, and which would be worthy of a general revival.
Is this in a collection somewhere? I can't find the score anywhere!
A lovely piece, beautifully performed.
Die Anfangstakte erinnern an eine frühere ORF-Kulturreihe "Der Fenstergucker".
very calming
👍 very interesting
Lovely! Where did you get the score for this?
Sehr good… I like this organ, refined quality, even if the old organ builder trad. Still is superior in voicing etc.. bravo, Danke
Gorgeous Melody played with utmost grace - brings tears to my soul. I'm in Seattle in love with Liturgical Organ/Choir music since the 40's @ St. Joe's.
I am originally from Seattle. :)
Great! Where could if find the score?
Simply beautiful! Heavenly!
Thank You!
Lovely. Where can I find a score?
Very nice Wayne!
Do you know which opus number this piece is? Nice performance.
Beautiful.
Where can I find this music in print or digital?
A wonderfully-tranquil piece. I do miss playing organ offertoires, such as sometimes occurred during the old Tridentine Mass, especially Romantic period French pieces....
Beautiful! Is there sheet music available for this piece?
Absolutely Glorious!
Lovely piece. Where did you find it?
Harmonies Paroissiales..comes in three volumes. Check Amazon or Google the title.
Very nice Wayne!
Músico ciego. ❤Época esplendor osa de Austria. Antes de la primera guerra mundial.
Praise the Lord.✝️
This is incredible. Please, how could we get this beautiful score...
The Liturgical Organist, Vol. 1 - Carlo Rossini
Beautiful Wayne.
Nice - Opus number?
Opus 48. Thank you for listening!
What is the Warburton number for this? Trying to find the score.
Amazing!!
Although SS Wesley's 'Hereford' to this text is a fine tune which has largely superceded 'Wilton', the latter is most inspiring when sung 'lustily and with good courage' by a Methodist congregation. Originally, 'Wilton' would have often been accomp by eg. strings, clarinets and a bassoon, before organs were allowed in Methodist churches. However, your interpretation here is most enjoyable indeed. !
This is beautiful sir. Playing this now and you did it better
That's great what country are you in

Lovely sensitive playing, the organ sounds great and the piece is a little gem.
Beautiful music, wonderful music, Beautiful music of life!
