my card keeps resetting the wattman and all the settings
My pc always get blue screen when im NOT playing anything, just on internet... I tried to reinstall diferents drivers but i couldnt solve the problem. I have a Rx5700xt, someone has the same problem?
Perhaps your fan curve is too low and the gpu is overheating.
But my gpu temperature is okay, i got 40 degrees when im not playing. Im so sad that is happening.
@@Thiago-pp9hv I'm really sorry you're having trouble with it. See if you have any windows updates pending, Go into cmd with admin rights type: "sfc /scannow" without quotes and let it go thru Next: if that doesnt work, try using display driver uninstaller www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html Run it uninstall your drivers in safe mode if possible and then reinstall to latest drivers after a reboot. Another option: open cmd with admin rights and type "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" Another tip i would say is to double check your wiring for your gpu, reseat your ram. I had the same issue as you a while ago and it turned out to be a ram issue, and I had to replace my ram sticks. If you get blue screens relating to memory_management it could be faulty/defective ram.
- ALWAYS go in and find your GPU's latest Firmware, what! you think only your mother board have BIOS? Upgrade your 5700's BIOS so it wont crash or black screen.(Dunno why people always forget to do this) - ALWAYS Daisychain your GPU's power cables, do not use one cable to connect all PCI-E entrys, and make sure your PSU is at least 650w for this card. - Dont use Adrenaline driver apps, setup your driver without them and find your GPU's manifactorer's own program to use, example; Asus - GPU Tweak - Use HDMI 1.4, yes especially 1.4, its a magnificent solution. - Set your monitor refreshment more than 45hz and make sure it stays that way. - Power is the name of the game, set window's power settings to maximum - Make sure your windows is always up to date. - Make sure your motherboard's BIOS up to date - Disable hardware acceleration in programs like Google and Discord When you do all of this (it will take probably 45 mins) you will realize your card is actually not that bad and can actually play games in Ultra Settings, hope this will help.
Hey thanks for the advanced tips, thats a good point mentioning windows updates and the bios. I didnt even know they had a bios as well
gonna pin your comment as well cause viewers are gonna need this
Bruh if u have too do this the card is trash, might game good but who cares when all it does is crash, nobody should have to do all this to get a card running right, what are we? Beta testers?
@@land.1368 💯never getting AMD again, Nvidia never did anything like this to me
I was getting driver timed out too and I got a fix for me anyway, playing all my games on full graphics and not 1 issue related to drivers. I really should make a video about my experience because this really got me down, not being able to find a satisfactory solution to help. This isn't my channels subject content but so many individuals are just in the position that I was in. I really just want to help people. Therefore in short, the frustratingly timed out issue has nothing to do with drivers....it's your HDMI (High definition media interface) or your VGI cable. There's another option for you, trying source on your monitor and watch it link up with your GPU. I couldn't edit any more videos or even run a game without this error occurring. Please let me know if I don't make any sense because I can lend a hand to those who might need the assistance because it's incredibly stressful buying a magnificent expensive PC only for your computer to be taken out by a 0.99 driver related issues and 7.99 HDMI cables. God bless.
god bless you man, this card is lots of trouble and i appreciate you for posting more help that everyone could use. Ill pin your comment to make sure that people can see another solution.
@@daniel666 God bless you too brother for helping people out with this. Doing a good deed for people and appreciate you pinning my comment because it will definitely help individuals as I had the exact same issue. You're right it is another solution to a problem.
If you have Dragon centre make sure u turn gaming mode off that fixed mins
I have the xfx rx5700xt. I hate it. It didn’t start out with issues and would reboot me or anything. But I didn’t know when I went to turn pc back on it would say wattman error. I tried updating the drivers and it crashed and won’t even display the screens anymore. I’ve reset the cmos and so forth, turned off quick boot. If I’m able to get it to display again I will try copying these settings. Their software is trash. I will stick to nvidia from now on.
thanks king
hope it served u well fam
I have an issue with my pc some demanding games that I launch for example like Cold War and warzone I get screen flickering a lot on launch then it just crashes this problem doesn’t happen to all games so I’m very confused man and it’s been stressing me out a lot
Same
@@VillainsGames found the solution go to dragon centre and turn of gaming mode legit that’s it 😂
Good shit
Wow , thanks a lot. Works!! Thumbs up.
Glad it helped
is cold war crashing for you?
Try to change the Power Setting in the AMD App/Program to +40%, that worked for me! I tryed a lot of combinations with the tuning settings but that helped the best! No crashes since then
Finna test this
@@AssasinSpike well i had crashes again in some games, but less than before... i guess the graphic card is just fucked up
@@gp-zo3sl same
I've had some trouble with that setting as well.
I upgraded ram and crashes are gone.
lel spent a ton of cash for the rx5700 xt and then the solution videos are turn off everything you pay for .... Imagine in 2020 paying for something and just hoping it will work. A big L for AMD from me. Going to save up for rtx3080.
Bro without radeon software my fans did not run at all for months how..
Attempt factory installing the 20.4.2 driver
it actually worked i think at least 2 hours of playing without any crashes. Thanks a lot
@@VillainsGames yeah no more problems
@@VillainsGames actually with the latest updates I have no problems in general. Good luck!
i got once green screen then my gpu won't work until i put hdmi in mb without gpu pls i need help
I bought one yesterday hoping it will change my mind to AMD GPU's since I'm already running their processor. However it kept crashing time and time again, like 8 times in 5 hours. I've decided to drop that shit. This has been an issue since July 2019. Imagine a full year! Nah I would rather pay more and less headache with this shit.
I understand your frustration, power to you!
So far doing all of this and undervolting from the pinned comment has fixed my crashing issue, For fan speed/temp I went with Fan Speed 53,66,68,90,100 Temperature 30,41,47,56,63. Going to be playing Horizon tomorrow to really see how long i'll last without issue. Thank you so much for the informative fast paced video. I am on Driver 20.4.2
You're welcome, hope horizon plays smoothly
@@daniel666 Still crashing....damn.
@@Oscure3 did u ever get a working solution
@@des0716 Sadly no, I returned the GPU.
@@Oscure3 damn that sucks
I keep getting directx dev error 6068 crashes on Modern Warfare any tips?
possibly a heating issue. I'd recommend getting two intake and two exhaust case fans and setting the fan curve to always be at 75%+ at all times
For mi first build i bought this GPU. It hasn't even arrived yet and is giving me headech.
its not as bad as you think, tweaking the settings will only take about 10 min but you wont have any problems after that
@@daniel666 thanks man.
Corsair icue caused mine to BSOD within an hour of run time every time. It would make my PC have random USB disconnect sounds on startup. My 5700xt has had no issues at all since, or probably never did... I really don't know.
I've heard some ppl on reddit talking about it giving issues to them as well. In my opinion, i think it would be best to keep it off.
Maybe this will help someone. I have an MSI B450 tomahawk. Upgraded from a rx580 to the 5700xt. Started getting BSOD while playing modern warfare. I formatted my hdd and reinstalled everything. Still BSOD. I went Into my BIOS and noticed there was an "auto overock" feature that was on. Which set my base clock higher for my cpu. AMD ryzen 2600x. I manually set the value to 3.6ghz and turned off auto over clock. My processor still boost up to 4.2ghz and I played all night without a single BSOD. I had already called Newegg about rma... Good thing i dug deeper. Crazy thing is. My rx580 worked for 2 years with those settings but the 5700xt did not like it. Or I was just pushing everything harder with the newer card causing the instability.... Idk
This is hella helpful to those with amd chips, thanks homie
I’ve just tried all of your settings yet my screen still turns black for around 2 seconds and then goes back to normal. Along with that, in games my game will randomly crash because of a “driver issue” and i get blue screens that say video_tdr_failure. I also get notifications that say display driver and driver stopped responding and successfully recovered. Do you know any fix for this? I’ve clean installed and i’m on version 20.4
hey so i literally jus fixed the blue screens issue, i installed all the drivers manually without installing that adreline 2020 application i did a windows memory diagnostic and i have been set i let my games play through and literally not blue screens as far as fan control for the gpu im simply using afterburner msi so try that and let me know i have a 570 series
reboot in safemode and use display driver uninstaller, reboot, install drivers again and be sure you set as good fan curve. Possibly you dont have enough case fans/cooling in your rig?
YKTV Trev what is a memory diagnostic?
daniel should i install the drivers without adrenalin and also where and how do i set the fan curve, for airflow i’m using the h510i with the two included exhaust fans and no intake fans because that’s what a lot of people recommended. update : i used ddu and reinstalled but i’m still having the same problems
@@jacobha3907 I'd recommend two intake and two exhaust. Two exhaust wasnt enough in my case.
Thank you so much dude!!! It actually works!!
you're welcome :)
i cant even use my pc one hour without crash, i got a rx 5700 none xt with r7 2700x i will try this thing u recomend but i dont have any hope
Did it work
@@cheewiiplays3715 i guess his pc crashes everytime so he can't reply anymore
Hey Zombie, it might be insufficient cooling in your rig. A higher fan curve and/or an undervolt will help.
You helped me so much! Thank you :D
no problemo
Hey mhan im using rx5500xt 8gb. the new drivers 20.4.1 to 20.5.1 i got random blue screens (trd failures) (once a week or while watching youtube ect) - im using driver 19.12.2 on the moment and did few of your settings also . so far 2 weeks no problemo. will you say if a new driver comes out just test it - using factory reset and switch every setting off?? so far 19.12.2 awsome
Same shit for me. I am planning on replacing it with the 1660 super
@@dommevida_8721 hey mhan did you switch. I contacted my supplier. Im thinking of buying nividia and test. 🤔🤔🤔 I did fresh install windows everything. Stil getting blue screens randomly ising drivers 20.4.1 to 20.7.1... Im using an A320 Board but dont think it can be that. Cause why is older driver 19.12.2 running smooth no problemo for a month.. Any suggestions good nividia card to swop for rx5500xt.. Really hope im making a good choice..
Bro, i got a320m and a 5500xt xfx and works perfectly, same happen to me, but i just update bios, now i bought the 5700xt and giving my 5500xt to my gf, and now the 5700 crashes a lot
@@Dansol04 i updated bios everything. I am going to change it for gtx 1660 super 6gb like the problems are to much. Got the newest drivers. New fresh ltsc even windows i tried and newest bios everything. Cant even play saints row 3 remastered. Get lock 50/49 fps and freesync like totally destroyed.. Everything set to low same preformance. Fans not even working while gaming hitting 75 degrees So i gave up. Getting a b450 board. And gtx 1660 super with my already owned ryzn 5 3600x
@@MightyVAGMods My card seems to be pretty stable right now. I installed the 20.5.1 driver and didnt touch the radeon software after installing. My energy options are on balanced but I changed some advanced energy settings. For example disabling the energy control for PCI and some other stuff. I also switched my BIOS to secondary BIOS. Changing settings in the AMD software only created new problems for me.
I did almost everything from the first 2 minutes of the video and now i'm on day 3 without crash. Maybe tessellation was causing crashes? Cause the other options were already off. Anyways, thanks a bunch. I got tired of daily crashes with this bad driver..
possibly, i've heard from ppl on reddit that it messes up with the games engine if u set it to a custom value set in the amd software.
How about now, do you recommend a 5700xt?
@@Kyrg1 it's still horrible, even with the latest driver update. I recommend staying away from amd GPUs

So FreeSync causes Issues??? That's fucking bullshit AMD, I spent money on a freesync monitor and I can't even use it without problems fuck.
It's pretty outrageous but yes, it causes a fuck ton of issues for some odd reason
