I don't see Fiji coming within 20 points at the end. We have a young team, very few caps right now, so there is a lot of gelling needing to be done but Fiji are not great, as much as everyone keeps applauding them.

For Fiji it's measurement of their progress, especially if it turns out to be anything similar to the 1st test in 2021 down in Dunedin if I remember the venue correctly.

There's loads to be positive about as an England fan. From young guys like Finn Baxter, George Martin and Cunningham-South to established internationals like Earl, Itoje and Underhilk the pack performed well until scrummage time. In the backs Furbank, Smith and Mitchell have all proved themselves as performers at the highest stage and can control a game. I feel like the blitz is coming together nicely. The work-ons are there, the scrummage and execution in the red zone are two that will lose us games against the best teams. I take your point about Beaudie - at this point having him is like a safety net.

As a Springbok fan, I have this nagging worry going into these tests....simply because when the Boks are expected to win they don't, and when they're expected to lose,they win.

Irish won't win first test, it's too much to ask after traveling. The boks will be over confident the second test, that's when they will have a shot.

As an Englishman all I will say is that I n the front row and on matters of discipline, we are really struggling . Eddie Jones never did enough to keep talent coming through at prop so this is a major worry from my perspective. I think this will be a very exciting couple of matches as I think most people don’t know which way it’s going to go.

Jack Crowley has performed well since coming into the Irish team. I think he can hold his own. I'd be more concerned about the absence of Gibson Park & Hugo Keenan. To beat SA in SA without your very best players is a strong ask, but here's hoping. Come on Ireland 🇮🇪.
