INSTALLING SHOE MOULDING - Quick and Easy Tips
No internet is needet ?
No internet. It works like a basic remote control. Hope that helps 👍
The switch dint have batteries?
thank you, it's very useful!
Glad I could help
Hey Bud nice video, I just wanted to let let you know your link is a different design - it's a solid light design instead of your 3 strip, I noticed right before I purchased it.
Hmmm. I think Amazon might be substituting it or something. I’ll see what I can do. Thanks. 👍
Jesus Christ… decent video but not knowing how to use a wago connector and going for the wire nuts is mind blowing.
Yeah. I’ve gotten this comment about 100 times. Been a contractor for 15 years and used wago connectors all the time. I’m fully aware you lift the tab. I’ve mentioned in multiple comments before that I just didn’t film the part with it lifted bc I was struggling to fig out why on earth it wouldn’t go in but I’m telling you and the other 99 previous people who’ve made the exact same comment that the ones provided DID NOT work with the tabs up. I’m not sure if they were for 14 gauge and up and since this was a 12 gauge wire they were just too small or if this Chinese connector was just garbage but they didn’t work. I realized that I didn’t get a good shot when I was actually trying so i just reinacted holding the connector up to the wire to get the shot not really thinking about the tab being down bc I wasn’t trying to actually put it on at that point. I understand in context it looks like I’m not putting in on correctly but I’m actually just piss poor at filming myself and getting all the shots I needed in the first place. Hope that clears it up for you.
Did you just nail to the sheetrock or find the rafters first?
Found rafters with stud finder 👍
Don’t like it because you ever need to pair it again you need to lower the fixture pain I the ass
Great job explaining all in detail. Thank you.
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching 👍
How do you adjust them to make them slide easier? Some of mine are easy to slide others feel tough
Take the drawer out by pulling it out and up. Check both drawer glides separately to see if they go in and out smoothly. If so, your drawer may have just been a little off track when you put it in the first time. Try to set back it place and see if it glides smoothly. If the glides without drawer don’t work smoothly try lubricating each one and then set drawer back in place. Hope that helps👍
This is by far the best video I've seen on how to adjust doors. Drawers, on the other hand, are really tricky. If you're trying to adjust up or down, for example, as you keep turning (clockwise or counter-clockwise) at one point you'll go from all the way down to moving back up. I use the hand not working the screwdriver on the bottom of the drawer front where it meets the bottom of the drawer. That way you can feel when you reached the farthest it will go top or bottom. Also, if you installed the glass sides, you'll need to remove them in order to adjust for door tip.
Good tips. Thank you for sharing. It helps everyone 👍
Thank you for the video, I saw it in a hotel room, wondered where to get it, it was so cool!
Does anybody know if you could use this to run to a DC transformer to convert to DC to run LED strip lights? So Neutral and Load wires would run to transformer, then transformer to LED strip?
Would have liked to see the finished porch.

Alarming lack of electrical safety advice here! Of course you switched off the power before connecting the receiver but then appeared to manipulate the connected box and wires into position above the light with the power left on. In my decades of experience I have many instances of wires coming free or not being securely fixed the first time you screw up or use a connector and this introduces a real danger for the non professionals doing such an installation. I would say ALWAYS have the power off until the unit is securely and safely in the ceiling cavity and only then put the power back on and test it. The number of people electrocuted or severely shocked every year in accidents is extremely high. Thank you for a well made instructional video but safety should always come first.
Good advice. 👍
Why lower cabinets are hanging on the wall? What's the point?
You’re going to want cabinets attached to the wall somehow on any cabinet system you use, but I’m assuming you’re meaning why use the track here instead of just 4 legs and bolting each one to the wall. I’d say the simplicity of the leveling process is the main reason to do it. Getting the track level is way easier and quicker than getting each cabinet level. It just makes processes faster. Not sure if that was exactly what you were asking. But any cabinets you get, regardless of the manufacturer, need to be bolted to wall for safety and stability. Hope that helps👍
Did you ever end up installing the legs on each of the base cabinets? or are these floating on the wall?
We do install front legs but not the rear ones. If you have time check out my 3 part ikea installation video series. I go a bit deeper on those and give a little more detail. Hope that helps 👍
So, ifnthe light goes out, can you change it or just buy another mirror?
Not sure on that one. It may be possible to open the back of mirror and swap out light strip but it’s not something manufacturer lists or has parts for. Being a led light it should provide years of service for you. Some reports show 50,000 hrs of use. Hope that helps 👍
Thanks.
👍
I wondered. Could you have simply cut the plug off and wired it with the barre wires?
Yes. These can be wired directly. On most models it will likely void warranty on mirror. But if that’s not a concern you can definitely make it work that way.
Loved the Muppets. Really good and informative video.
Thanks so much 👍
Thanks Jason! I'm gonna apply your method today.
Glad I could help. Good luck on your project 👍
Why..?? If its already had light switch..?? ... oh I had an idea.. I installed it and keep in my room to scare my kid out🤪🤪.. Dad that light turn on it self 🤙🤙🤙
This particular room did not currently have a switch.
This is a very informative and detailed video. I will save this for reference. Thank you. 😊
Thanks so much. Glad I could help 👍
Your video was good, but remove the music in the background. It’s very distracting when you’re talking.
Great info, thanks. Question for anyone that might know. I have an old light fixture on wall on top of sink, so there is a round junction box. Most of these light mirrors come with a plug. Can I just cut the plug and hardwire it directly to existing wires? Or is there an outlet that can be install it in the round junction box? I am trying to avoid removing/replacing the round junction box for a rectangular which involves drywall repair. Thanks in advance.
You can definitely cut and hardwire. It will void your mirrors warranty but if that’s not a big deal to you hardwiring is a viable option. As far as an outlet in the round junction box I haven’t seen a recessed one for that type. Hope that helps.
How dangerous! No guard on your cutter!
Danger is my middle name…I just don’t spell or pronounce it that way.
Which battery need for the switch?
It comes with a battery. I don’t remember the exact size.
What brand is it? I looked and there are so many I dont which is better?
This one was a bokihuk. I’ve tried several different ones since in this same price range and all worked similarly well.
Thanks. I learned a lot, and felt like I was watching a porn video at the same time. Tight editing.
what screws are you using to connect the cabinets? the ikea instruction has some wood screw in a random place. its really ugly inside the cabinets. and the hole that you are using for the screw is empty after completion.
Will it come on with the switch or do you have to turn it on by the button on the mirror itself every time?
Ours went on and off with switch if it was originally turned on on mirror.
Hi I have kitchen cabinet work I want to learn something from your experience can you tell me something please
What is the size of the mirror?
Hmmm. Don’t really remember. Maybe 24H x 36W?
is there a way to do this in the wall switch? i have 12 spotlights all working with a dimmer switch, i want to replace the dimmer and put this box in so all 12 spots work on it, just like with the wall switch. i do not know how all the wires are connected to that wall switch that is the problem..
Nova tehnologija stara 50+ godina a u auto industriji već preko 20 godina, e moj Jura, natrag u školu.
Thank you 😊🙏🏻
Glad to help. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for sharing. Some installed a very similar mirror for me and mistakenly wired it to the existing switch for the lights above the mirror. Guess what? It kinda defeat the purpose of the using the power button on the mirror to keep that on by itself.
You can leave the switch on all the time, that way you can use the mirror buttons to power on/off but for me is easier to use wall switch.
Thanks. I did this today, and thanks to your video, it went very smoothly, and so fast. I started looking at the instructions, but figured there's be a video.
Awesome. So glad I could help 👍
This video gets an A for info but a D- for annoying loud weird music.
So average those grades together and I’m still passing…Not. Too. Shabby.
Thank you for teaching me... from Philippines
Thanks for watching in the Philippines. Glad I could help 👍👍👍
Does the switch have a replaceable battery?
If I remember correctly it had a watch style replaceable battery.
Thanks, now I know not to buy that
Thanks for the video. Will I be able to install the thinkbee receiver to a wall light switch instead of to the actual light in the ceiling?
Fast cap nuclear bender
Thanks guys
👍
Leaving the drywall in place is actually a good thing, its code in most places to have it behind the wood anyway. Also without it you would need to air seal behind the wood anyway creating even more work/cost after the demo
can you turn on and off light on the original switch?
This install didn’t have an original switch so didn’t have a chance to test that
Ikea have what you need to install a kitchen island for easy installing of kitchen island.
Thank you for this video from the bottom of my ❤. I thought I was stupid because I could't change bloody blade 😂
Yep. Super frustrating.
I guess it’s the OCD in me but I could not handle putting a patch like that even over a 2” hole with nothing else behind it like regular sheet rock. If say a kid had a friend over and was shooting pool and a ball came off the table and knocked a hole in the wall and you repaired it with one of those kits, say a month later the same kid and his friend were playing pool again and they were like yeah that hole was right here somewhere & my dad fixed it and they go poking around with their finger. I think it was right here and then their finger goes through the wall & total it out but just poking it and with that I just couldn’t handle it I would have to repair it with an old piece of sheet rock by my patch or something. I even used Bondo like you repair a dent in a car with it really works well, it’s a little harder to work, but it works really well.
Yeah. I wasn’t impressed with it this first time around. Going to give it one more shot on a smaller hole before i completely write it off.
