On December 1st 2018 we reserved a table at El Celler de Can Roca, one of the best restaurants in the world. 11 months of waiting passed by before we could enjoy a spectacular 3 hour dinner experience with 22 courses in Girona. In 2009 El Celler the Can Roca received the third Michelin star and was named the world's best restaurant 2013 and 2015....

If you expectation of fine dining is a golden interior, then maybe. They‘ve created a very chilled space out of glass, stone and wood. We liked it.

Ja creeme que no, primero sirven aperitivos 10 en total, luego presentan 5 platos principales luego 5 postres más vino y al final un stand de dulces. No puedes comparar un viaje estándar con un ejecutivo, verás que la semantica es diversa y por eso el celler está donde se lo merece Alguien que no sabe de cocina no lo comprende, pero lo más importante es no hacer lo convencional, conocer más allá de tu comida y eso seguramente lo tiene bien seguro cada hermano porque la pareja de uno de ellos es de Jalisco, y quiera o no la cultura se hace parte de ellos
Muy interesante lo de poner un chiste de comida en un plato de 30 cms de diámetro, para que luego te crujan en el precio. ¡¡VIVA LA COCINA TRADICIONAL!!

pues son 22 platos mas los 6 petit fours...a 50 gr por plato te estas crujiendo 1kg de comida....no sólo estás pagando el valor de la comida en si; estas disfrutando de cubertería de primer nivel, vajillas exclusivas, cristalería de colección, mantelería, trato único....sigo? ...al final es una opción más....si quieres (y puedes) la coges y sino tienes muchas otras...salud!

Sadly, due to Corona, it could be more difficult to reserve once El Celler reopens. They're thinking about reducing tables to achieve more space between clients but when we ate there in November 2019 there was already a comfortable distance between the tables. @@agorilla Me and my wife are going there in 2 weeks. We had to cancel our reservation last year due to covid related reasons so we are extremely excited for our lunch in october!
@@quintvandenheuvel895 Wish you both an amazing experience. For us it was unbelievable. Keep an eye open when you enter as Joan Roca typically stands at the kitchen's door greeting the guests. Such a nice, humble person. Enjoy your stay in Girona. And if you can, try some xuixos, the pastry the city and Catalunya is most famous for.
