    Very nice tutorial. If someone is having trouble with the small needle I've used a locker hook and yarn to duplicate tatting. A locker hook looks like a crochet hook with an eye and is used for rug making. Of course, your project will be a larger scale, but it might help you get the hang of needle tatting. Easier to see, too. Thanks for sharing.

    He Linda, I am from Germany and I like tatting as well, I have not done a junk journal yet but thinking of it and using my tatting as well. To translate the German is a little bit tricky, because the sentences are not complete . On the first paper, it seems to me, that a girl or a lady is seeing her picture on the surface of a pond or a lake while she is kneeling down, then she moves to her feet while her body is leaning forward to enlarge her picture.- I like your tatting, I probably would make the picots a little bit smaller, for me the form then becomes more clear. 🙂

    Hi sweet Linda. These are simply stunning as is all of your delightful hand work. Tatting is surly a lost art. I appreciate so much your tutorial months ago teaching me “how to” I’m stopping by to give my condolences. I’m so sorry to hear of your dads passing and pray you are being comforted by his celebration of life. I’ll be placing an order when you return. I’m certain you have an abundance of work to do when you return home. God bless you and your family during this difficult time. Gentle hugs Cheryl

  • @suehardesty3147
    @suehardesty3147 2 года назад

    Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! A couple things I saw that I wasn't doing was only adding 5 stitches on each side of the picot in the chain and joining the chain to the ring on the 1st picot. I was joining on the second. These two changes make a straight piece of lace and not curled like mine was. Also, I was working with way too long a piece of thread and it was causing me to have to let to of my work when I was pulling the thread through and when I was trying to knot it. I'm ready to try this again! I'll let you know how I do. Thanks again, Linda.

    • @LindaDPrice
      @LindaDPrice 2 года назад

      Yes Sue, when you go into the second picot, your work will curve. Sometimes I like it curved and sometimes I like it straight. A curved piece will eventually make a frame for a picture. So try both ways. To make a frame, it will be about 20 rings and 20 chains. To make an ornament, it will take about 12 rings and 12 chains.

I had trouble with it for a long time until I finally figured it out many years ago, so I completely understand. If you have any other questions, please leave a comment for me.
