I got one of these a few weeks ago and I absolutely adore it. As a newer shooter, iv been trying many different handguns at the range to figure out what I like and what fits me best. One of the owners offered to let me run his personal carry (Canik tp9) and I was hooked. The Rival S feels like home in my hands and shoots like a dream, I am so glad I opted for the metal frame. I am looking forward to years of service and fun with this thing.
Owned My Canik Over 1Month ,Shot Over 1000 Rounds Been Reliable. Only About 3 Fail To Reset To Battery. OVERALL i Give 9/10 Definitely A Fun Gun To Shot With Holosun 508T
🇹🇷 Canik is the best 🔥🔥🔥
When are they making mete mc9 comp?
I can't wait to get this gun
How much
I love what Canik is doing. First the TTI Combat and now this, looking forward to what they do next!!
❤canik ❤
I've been shooting competitively for 45 years, been a police officer for 39 years, am an armorer, range master and firearms instructor, and have carried 1911's/2011's for my whole career. I first found Canik several years ago when I seized one from a drug smuggler, and didn't take them seriously. I assumed they were on par with Hi-Point. Boy was I wrong. I bought an MC9 not quite a year ago. I immediately ran a few hundred rounds through it, then shot two duty pistol qualifications courses with it. I did not have one malfunction, and scored perfect scores on the full duty pistol course of fire both times. The trigger, for a striker fired pistol, is fantastic. It's possibly the best striker fired trigger I've ever shot. This MC9 replaced a G43, there is absolutely no comparison between the two pistols. The accuracy for a 3" barrel is unbelievable. One of my jobs is to get samples of pistols and torture test them for duty/off duty recommendations. Much of the time I buy things out of my own pocket, especially when, as in the case of Canik, the LE representative knows nothing about the product. So, a couple of days ago I bought a Canik TTi Combat to test. While I am still waiting for a holster and mag carrier, I will say that the trigger is better than some stock 1911's I've shot. As good as the MC9's trigger is, the TTi is light years better. It's hard to believe a striker fired pistol has a trigger this good, with a super short reset. The TTi is a bit light in the grip area, particularly with a weapon mounted light on the front, a steel frame would be a big improvement. The ability to co-witness with both pistols and not need suppressor height sights is wonderful. The Rival S did not make the testing cut because the only optic mount that has a sight on it fits the shield optic, it needs to fit the RMR/Holosun pattern optic. Two suggestions to Canik: first improve the sights on these pistols. A black rear and white front dot may be great for target shooters, but for a defensive pistol (MC9) or combat (TTi) they really need better sights. Second, get some LE reps who actually know your product. The woman I spoke to I don't think had ever fired a pistol in her life.
Absolutely ruins that dark side. Just FYI.
Don’t waste your money most of them have return to battery and hangfire issues that require repair . Century has customer service issues that make it difficult to return and it’s not worth the head ache.
I lost interest and stopped the video before the case was opened. really? no ammunition near your cleaning station? bullets don't spontaneously go off sitting near a weapon being cleaned...never have never will

HAD MINE A MONTH "FLAWLESS "..... HATERS GONNA HATE
if i get a lemon can i turn it back to you guys and trade it for a non lemon?
I have one (TURKIYE). Strongly recommends!
I’m a fairly new shooter but the TTI is my 6th pistol, after 2 Sigs, a Glock, Walther, S&W 2.0. One of the Sigs was bad from the get-go. Missing spring on trigger, loose block on slide. QC must’ve been asleep at the wheel. But it shot. Each and every time. The others shot. Every time. The TTI had the FTRB issues on day 1. Yes, Canik service was quick and sent out new spring. The spring had green marking to distinguish it. That green came off all over the inside of gun. That aside, it did nothing to stop bullets from becoming dented as they hit feed ramp. It did nothing to stop light primer strikes. Over and over again. The firing pin showed wear and damage. After a few hundred rounds. It’s now been back at Canik for over a month. I just hope they make it right. There are too many quality manufacturers out there for me to ever buy another. On the plus side, to be fair, when it worked it was the flattest, softest and most accurate gun I’ve owned. I want to love it.
The TTI combat is my 5th Canik i love them all, i have however not had any issues with mine as some have.
Feels like this video came out years ago.
I got one of these as my first Canik and I love it ❤ Canik is my go to brand and a big fan.
I'm getting failure to go into battery, I emailed canik and still haven't heard back 🫤
Man, y’all suckered me into the SFX rival and the MC9. Had some issues with the MC9 but you guys just sent out the new recoil spring. Seemed to fix the issues. I feel dangerous (in a good way) with your guns. I was a decent shooter with my other handguns but for whatever reason I just shoot my Canik handguns at the next level. Keep your the amazing work
I love my Rival S and my polymer Rival, but that TTI Combat was a huge swing and a miss. The gun is trash and I got rid of mine already. If you guys wanna know how to build a real TTI Combat, hit me up and I’ll give you the specs that will make something worthy of both names, TTI and Canik. Because like I said, this one was done SOOOOO wrong 👎🏻🤦🏻♂️👎🏻
What was it that you didnt liked because I consider to buy the Rival S or the TTI
Yeah, failed to eject about every other round. Loaded the mags by hand, and a loader..no change. The ammo worked fine in my Glock, and my MAC 5..... very disappointed.....
Mine has not had a failure yet@@smokeybones1951
Pretty easy to remove the optic if it comes with it
The Black Rival was my first purchase as a N.Y. resident in process of conceal permit when the Bruen Decision came through. I am very happy with it and LOVE the trigger. This model is a very tempting “ luxury “ for a small farmer . ….. digs up mason jar out back 😂😂😂.
got the Rival
Tried mounting my holosun 508T and none of the provided screws will thread properly. They just keep spinning and spinning
Had the same exact experience with the 508T. I finally used the screws that came with the Holosun optics (even though it states in the Canik manual to only use the screws that they provide, but those, as you said, are too short and just spin. The screws supplied with the Holosun optic solved the issue. Canik should update their manual to reflect this.).
I took delivery of my Canik TTI Combat in June of 2024. I proceeded to go to the range and shoot it with my standard 124 grain 9mm Sellier & Bellot (that I use on all my guns, including PPC with 0 issues). Nearly every other round would NOT fire. It was easy and quick to notice that the slide was not going back into battery. Pushing the slide with my thumb would temporarily “resolve” the issue, after another round was shot, then the cycle would start again. I immediately stopped and went out to the pro shop to purchase different weights and brands of 9mm loads just in case the gun was sensitive to a specific load or brand. Of 4 different brands and 3 different weights, NONE made a difference. All malfunctioned at the same or worse frequency. Incidentally, I do not reload my own ammunition; I only use quality rounds. All brass, all well known, well tested brands. I stopped, disassembled the gun and tried the included light spring. The problems got even worse. For the record, I am an experienced shooter, and I do not limp wrist. I invited other shooters in the range to come in and try it (just to make sure it was not me that was mishandling the gun in any way). They had either the same or worse experiences and a lot of raised eyebrows. Note that I own a Canik TP9SFX and I have not had a SINGLE issue with it. I absolutely LOVE that gun and purchased the TTI Combat based on my previous experience with Canik. At that point, I stopped (after about 200 rounds) and went home to thoroughly clean the gun as I heard rumors that the gun must be cleaned before it is shot, or that it requires xxx of rounds to “break in” the gun. A day later, after a thorough cleaning and inspecting all the parts, including purchasing two additional brand-new magazines, I went back to the range and bought new ammo in 119, 124, 148 and subsonic 160 grain. The TTI Combat malfunctioned the same way with either spring or either magazine. I went back home and sent out a message to Canik through their online service form including taking a picture of the slide when it was out of battery. Within 1 day, I received a very professional response from Canik stating that they recognize the issue and that they would be sending me through FedEx a new spring and to only use that one. I received the new spring that Canik sent within 2 days of my email/conversation. WOW. Ever since, the gun has NOT had a single malfunction. Not on ANY brand of ammo, ANY grain or ANY shooter. The problem was 100% fixed thanks to the new recoil spring assembly. In conclusion, I have to say that ANY company in ANY industry may experience problems. It is the way you HANDLE the problem, and you interface with the client base that makes all the difference. My experience with customer service at Canik was not mediocre, was not good, was not great, it was IMPECCABLE! Hence, I want to THANK the Canik service team for the manner and the matter in which they have handled this issue and resolved it satisfactorily. THANK YOU! I am a big fan and a return client.
😊
you are not alone. after 3 weeks of nothing but the same issues i sold it back to the shop at a 650 dollar loss. save your money people
@@marktaylor5115 Ouch!!!!
Just as a curiosity, did you contact the company?
The problem is in there over sprung striker spring as well as the recoil spring. Real shitty can make a gun to run on USA shelf ammo. They set there springs up for high powered NATO rounds. I have not had one problem with my TTI with the low recoil spring and standard 124 ammo.
I own a Canik TP9SF and I love it. I only have my right arm, I can handle this gun very smoothly. Not my carrying gun. My carrying gun is a Kimber Ultra Carry II 45 ACP. Love it.
Picked mine up today and its amazing. This made my 3rd Canik. Have the Rival and TP9 Elite. All have run flawlessly.
Which interface plate would you use for the new Mecanik red dot that comes with this handgun. Is there a negative effect to mounting straight to the slide?
I just got this last Saturday to go with my SFX
This will be my first canik. I pick it up next week. I can’t wait.
Yo how do you like it?
@@jamesmalouf4034 honestly I don’t. That said I am so used to my Glocks and my custom 19x and its cousin the g45 I just can’t get a hold of the canik like I want to. I am sure with tons of practice I’d like it but I mainly bought it as a range toy to shoot from time to time. The trigger is sweet and the goodies and extras that come along with it are sweet. My main issue is its needs high powered ammo or you to swap the springs. Luckily another one came with it but it’s more about the grip angle to me. I most likely get rid of it. If you have caniks and like them I am 100% sure you would like this one. I have talked to a few people about it and the steel frame rival is said to shoot better. If I were going to recommend it to someone as a range toy I’d say go for it anything else no.
@@HKGunPlay would you resell it?
@@jamesmalouf4034 trying to now
Very nice firearm. When my TTI arrives from your partners at Taran Tactical it will be my first Canik. Looking forward to it. Any videos overviews of the MeCanik optics coming??
We have an optics video in the works! Thanks for the support we hope you enjoy your new TTI Combat
@@shaunsteele4968 hello, I didn't pre-order. When it was released I got a notification from TTI. I ordered it through their website and it listed a 6-9 week lead time.
@@shaunsteele4968 understood and agreed. I knew that before ordering. Canik is making this happen, not TTI. But the design is a partnership.
I spy an orange color pack and other bits! Any idea when those will become available?
The red color pack is offered on our website now!
@@USACANIK - Ah dang, is that the Red pack? It looks very orange on video; maybe the lighting/color correction. Thank you!
Finally!!
Looks like a replica of the xdm elite
What is the closest gun you make to this? I asl trying to find a holster for one of these
This gun is Soo beautiful I just might cop for that reason alone
Make it with the bronze part purple!
Hello there, I am CCW instructor and I carry Mete mc9. Great pistol
I do As Well
Love my TTI and my sfx rival caniks are great guns.
So glad you love them!
Rival-S shoots better than this TTi
No amunition in your workplace because you might have a round walk its way into the chamber or into a mag then the mag makes its way into the gun then the slide racks itself and chambers a round and the trigger gets pulled by itself ---> THE STUPIDITY IS REAL PEOPLE
How about doing another collaboration with TTI and bring out a METE SF with a ported and compensated barrel. Just shorten the slide and add the comp. Match the cosmetics of the TTI Combat and you have the TTI Carry. It will blow any GLOCK 19 away, and I have a Custom G19 as a carry gun. It would be a great pairing, seeing as how well the Combat has been received.
As a longtime Canik fanboy I will say that this gun is 99% perfect. The only issue it and unfortunately all models I've owned have is that swapping the magazine release button is a royal pain. I fear no man but that little spring terrifies me.
So overpriced.
I disagree. This is only TTI collaboration I've seen for under $1000. Plus, it comes with a lot of accessories. My $1000 1911 came with an extra mag and nothing else.
How? It has every feature out of the box plus accessories you could possibly want on a striker fire pistol. Sig P320 variants cost significantly more than this
picking mine up soon, laid away the moment i saw the Taran box and felt that 3-4lb trigger lol its like Taran mixed up a bunch of the best features from a variety of platforms and made it fit into something like a cracked out glock clone only guns I've seen outside Taran's that compete with it are heavily modded and or very expensive -- have a shadow systems MR920 and like it, was going for a war poet I'll get the DR920 poet later lol you can't even order them easily yet
best review video i've ever seen
Much appreciated, more to come!
