I bought a couple packs off eBay to test if they were bricked up, and sadly they were. I looked at a collection of base cards on Amazon, and I realized there was only about 12 I liked. Seems like these are not as cool as I remembered them as a kid. I think I’ll stick with modern cards like Marvel Platnum, Flair and Midnight Sons.

Why are trading cards so expensive?? And fewer per pack. I stopped collecting in 1995.

I had 2 complete sets 1994

this brings me back. I have a complete set of all the 94' regulars, about 80% of the foils. I have always wondered what it is worth, most in near mint to mint condition, sleeved in a binder and been in a box in for the last 30 years. The 94' set had some of the best art of all the other sets, with a mix of retro and high detail art. I have been debating whether to sell or keep, but it is really hard to find accurate pricing. I still remember the frustration I felt, having opened hundreds of packs, having to buy a common White Queen card from my local comic shop. If interested, I am pretty sure I have duplicates of most of the cars, but am scared to see if they are bricked together, since I kept my duplicates in the same sleeve.

Those grades are HARSH on those beautiful cards! Do you think you would have received better scores through another grading company? Wish you had sent off Psylocke...that one is going for big money graded. I only have 3/4 of the set 😢

My mom called and said she had some of my cards from when i was a kid,i showed up and she handed me a box with over 120 1996 masterpieces and 7 double impacts all in sleeves in mint condition! I had totally forgot i collected them when i was young i was amazed and put a set together and sold the doubles to get get the 17 missing cards

Such a great set. I love the art by Julie and Boris. In case you guys were curious about 2 characters you seemed unsure of. Genesis is Cables son Tyler after he went bad. Probably why they lined him up next to Cable/Stryfe. X-Man is the Age of Apocalypse version of Cable.

Nice, i just was at a local comic book store, and they had the entire 1993 marvel univer series 4 set (.05 cents each) and that inspired me to finish my 1994 marvel masterpiece signature series set....never thought id get back in to card again but here i am.

What's the point of collecting Marvel cards if you don't know who any of the characters are, other than ones like Wolverine? Uatu the Watcher is a "swing and a miss" as a character choice, are you kidding me?!?! Multiple Man, you consider him to not be a good character, again, are you kidding me?! It's like if it's not one of the 10 Marvel characters that everyone knows, you consider it to be a miss! Maybe read some comics and all of these characters would be amazing to you!

When you compare the price of masterpiece with Platinum, I just can’t justify the price of masterpiece.

There is something about the oil paintings that hit a different way.; feels like collecting art and not cards.

Those are sick! I had no clue about the artists story but that is really cool. The art is really beautiful. “Okay I gotta know more about this racist dragon,” had me dying haha. Wow that Ant-Man is so beefy it’s sick, but I too love that he’s riding the carpenter ant. I wonder if its name was still Ant-thony then. Is the wolverine that’s 9/9 in the redeems for the painting of him that is in the sewer? This is a very beautiful collection thank you for sharing!
