@@masterjam13marcos45 Basically I prioritize armor that gives alright fame and at least no negative fame, then I also aim to fight in matches that have already a great ampunt of fame to begin with. :) Also this is an old video, which predates the recent overhaul. I am not sure whether there have been changes to fame rate since. :D

Haha! Should've known to use it! 😂 It's such a trophy piece though, meanin' it doesn't work that well in actual use.

@@ottovmp I remember you saying something like that in the video. What would you consider the best armour in the game? Is it the other godly set or a mix of different masterwork pieces?

@@bibby3131 Great question! It has been a while since I've last played, but basically armor has two categories. Cool-factor and defense. If you're looking to maximize your fame-gain, there are armors that do that better. Defense-wise armor really follows the stats religiously. Leg armor is usually just stamina waste though, as hits rarely connect on your legs. Maybe if multiplayer was introduced, legs would beed some attention as well. Though best armor for me is usually the best looking ones. :D

Nope. It does't add FOV, it just keeps your normal FOV when aiming.

If there's another difficulty after lionslayer I might be in trouble. :D Could also be that the harder difficulty unlocks after completing a backstory on any difficulty. Hard to find any info, as the wiki is kinda bare. @@LordZiTan

Definitely! I feel like at least when you've completed all of the backstories, it would be nice to be able to choose one. Or maybe just a blank character with no backstory at all. No positives, no negatives.

I have! First one has been one of my most favourite gaming experiences. Two was somewhat of a letdown, however it was still fun as well.

I've actually found that there's a bug wherein stamina doesn't start to regen. This is how I believe it happens; I'm running, I get hit while I'm stopping running, Game still thinks that I'm running and won't regenerate stamina. Usually this is fixed by tapping the run button again. If you feel like this is not the case, then check whether you're alway holding "block", as that slows your stamina regen. Low health, heavy armor and weapon class also affect the regen rate. Low health especially effects max stamina. Hope this helps! :D

Picking up and letting go of a weapon is the button "E" for me. If I want to throw a weapon, I have to press "E" mid attack to have the wepon fly. :D

Disagree. The reason it’s succeeding is its unique feel which includes the combat (which is more than semi functional) dodge rolling around would not be very gladiator like, and not everything needs to be a souls like, it’s done to death, this stood on its own feet from a solo dev and stands out as interesting because of it.

The games actually seem quite similar! I don't know what the combat system is like. My games on ps2 were more akin to Gran Turismo and Ratchet&Clank. :)

@@ottovmp I mostly don't get how the favor works and what it does. The different statistics on the equipment also feel a little ambiguous.

​@@gamefrog51 I currently have 21 hours of game time, so I might get some stuff wrong, but here's how I've interpreted it all; Favor; There are four different patrons. When you fight in an arena, the fight will be hosted by one of these. Upon completing your fight, you will be awarded with the host's favor, as well as you'll lose favor with the other patrons. This scales with the further you make it in the run. The favour effects random events. Basically when you've got positive favor, there's a chance of a positive event by the patron who you've got the favor for. Adversely, negative favor can prompt a negative effects. The effects vary a lot, however there are 4 main foci the patrons have. Upgrades and training. Fame. Gold. Favor The weapon stats; Damage type means how effective you'll be against certain targets; Slashing = Bonus dmg to unarmored, can dismember. Cleaving = Bonus dmg to shields, extra likely to dismember. Piercing = Around a third of the dmg ignores armor. Blunt = Around a fourth of the dmg ignores armor and additional knockback. Weapon weight gives either -50 or +50% knockback. Weapon weight (light, normal, heavy) effects stunning. Light weapon blocking a heavy hit will get blocker stunned. When weapons collide mid-air, lighter weapon wielder is stunned. Also disarming might happen if both people attack and the weapons collide mid-air. Chance to disarm is also contingent on weapon weight. Weapon base damage and speed effect the damage. And weapon durability is used when hitting / blocking. I joined a game, and asked for the other player to leave. Then I restarted through the menu. As long as you don't die in the match, you can restart through the pause menu. Doing this will always start the mission again without having to go through matchmaking and asking for people to leave the game.
