I remember the first time this was shown on TV. I was around 14 and remember taking great pride in the fact that I'd kept myself together until they played that variation of the girl in the fireplace theme, at which point I balled my eyes out. This really was peak Doctor Who.

I hope now that R.T.D. Is back in control we get Murray Gold back no offence to the current composer but I don’t find his score memorable and really dislike his take on the main theme. With Murray I only have to listen to a tiny bit of it and it brings back memories of what is on screen but also my own life that I associate with when I first heard it.❤❤❤
