Having played around with builds post 2.0 w/ PL I just have to say that it's really scummy that CDRed basically neuters the perk trees down to mostly supportive perks with 2.0 and if you want to make your build OP you need the PL dlc to get access to the broken & OP iconics to regain some of the semblance of how OP builds pre 2.0 were. Without PL, you cap at lvl 50 and come up just short to get every attribute to 9 unless you can deal with one less attribute at 20. The devs know that this game is most fun when you're playing around with builds in multiple playthroughs, and then develop this system that tries to egg you on to purchase this dlc of mixed value. Is there any in-game reason that dogtown is where all the iconics are? No, it's made this way to lure players in with build making possibilities like fuck the dlc's story as you're not going to care after the 1st run of it, but you're going to keep coming back to dogtown in every play through just for the iconics to use in a build. Can't wait to do a body or tech weapons build where I can finally side with songbird and send her to moon for the "good" dlc ending. "Love" how many iconics are locked behind a particular ending and if I'm playing a certain build I'm obligated to pick an ending where I can obtain these iconics for my build.

Every build in this game feels OP at normal. My hp doesnt even drop and i have melee mantis blades build, with near infinite sandevistan, i wipe out all enemies in single charge. Feels much faster than netrunner as it's behind overclock and requiring some downtime usually. Pistol / dagger builds do 1.5-3k headshot damage so they're 1 hit kill on most enemies as well. Games on easy mode.

Tech builds get no love, of the builds I’ve put together, tech was the best. Used Chrome Compressor in place of OS and outfitted my cyberware with as much iconic as I could, bread and butter of the build was the launch system, explosion damage, recharge rate, head shot multiplier. Pistol (ambition) rifle (widow maker) sniper (Rasetsu). Having not no use for OS was fun, the build slapped, stripping vehicles that rolled up on you with the launcher with one charge and obliterating everyone inside .. tech needs more love

May I please ask how you make the game run so smooth? I have 2 gaming machines, a laptop and a desktop, and on both of them I get stutters. I have a RTX 3070 and an Intel processor (forgot which one) in my laptop that has a 1080p display. It can run this game on ultra but it’s so jittery, I can’t stand playing this masterpiece of a game on such an abysmal experience. I tried using the stutter fixes and all that but it’s just so frustrating, I wish I could completely eliminate it.

Since this build is Super Stealthy, wouldn’t it make sense to use the Arasaka Cyberdeck instead with its anti-trace? Just a thought.
