July 20th Atlantic Pumpkin Update

This is my second year attempt at growing a 600lb pound Atlantic Giant Pumpkin. Unfortunately, extreme temperature swings impacted the first week of growth before a shelter could be built to shield from frost. Vine one has encountered root/vine rot disease most likely from early frost stresses. Vine two is performing well with a constant growth for the past two weeks. Vine 3 appears to be dying...

PHP - The Basics :: Part 4 "Associative Arrays" "Multi Dimensional"
Because of this I remember when I was around 8, I decided to transfer Need for Speed underground 2 from my cousin's laptop into my Nokia C1-01's memory card thinking it will run just fine 🤣
That's a true engineer! Break things first and ask questions later. Thx for watching!!
okay hear me out, germany has 230V, BUT you can also connect it to a CEE plug or manually wire it in a fuse box between 2 phases to get 400V, much more fun. most ovens are connected to multiple phases too so you dont HAVE to go to the fuse box. CEE outlets dont really occur in normal homes
In the US a common stove or dryer outlet would work for two phase fun. I could always go straight to mains and really stretch the boundaries of safety. However for the sake of limiting dangerous suggestion i thought 120v would be a good first step.
Ok like maybe I'm missing context but like... Why would someone make a cable like this? Are they *trying* to destroy the switch? Is this a terrorism or anarchy thing? What's going on here?
Definitely sounds like something the computer science grad students would rig up with a sign on it that says "do not connect anything to this rj45 plug" so that some future student would have to ask the question "why can't we plug anything into this Ethernet plug" and then fry some piece of equipment because he called it an Ethernet plug instead of an RJ45 plug.
This is a popular meme from the earliest days of the internet. No one knows who created the first. 100% satirical comedy only. Absolutely should never build one.
Absolutely something a grad student would do :)
Just sending 240v down the cable?
For safety purposes i wired this standard 115v residential code with an isolated circuit branch behind the breaker. I was gonna do 240v but decided against a total meltdown. However, it can be arranged. 😇
@furttech you are a menace bro
great explaination.
Thank you!. Always doing my best to be accurate while hopefully being entertaining. Glad you enjoyed.
But what if it was single pair Ethernet?
Good question. I believe the effect would be much the same. however, this would require testing to be sure :)
I’d love the see this put up against something like a UniFi ETH-SP-G2 surge protector. Also testing with HVDC, both with and without the protector
I am taking suggestions for round 2. 😁 I may be able to arrange this given an opportunity to aquire the Unifi device.

Engineer... yeah, ok.
Yeup bachelor's in electrical and computer engineering from Iowa state university. Graduated 2018. Masters in cyber security. Thx for watching.
Just because you have an EE degree doesn't mean you don't know what you are doing!
100% of this video could be subtitled “no shit Sherlock”. I want my 10min back
The burn marks is what I look for when I suspect a surge. Good vid. Thank you.
Yeup its a tell tale give away every time. Any seasoned it tech has seen this on a few calls over the years. Thx brotha always appreciated 😁!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No worries. This annoying lil bug drove me nutz for days... i figured others probably had the same frustration.

I wonder if there's a way to take the internal circuitry of a rcd or rcbo tester ,u know like the socket tester that have a push to test button or maybe it's only a UK thing, Basically combine that with an Ethernet cable so the moment it's plugged in to an outlet or a network switch it trips the breaker in a safe way
Ohh sure like a safety tripped ether killer that would not trip the wall breaker. You could then perform "tests" without throwing the circuit's breaker. I like your thinking!
Neutral? On a 30a? 30a doesn’t apply to 120, 208/240 doesn’t have a neutral.
30A is only in reference to the style of plug and outlet used. The circuit is wired 120v supply, return and ground. Correct, good eye.
The large plug and outlet is just for theatrics btw.
Worth mentioning, depends on country 😉 that’s true in USA ofc, but eg British 240v 16a and 415v 16/32/63a sockets also have neutral (3p+n+e)
240v 30 Amp definitely can have a neutral. Go look at your dryer receptacle. Of course you'd need a double pole breaker for a North American 240v circuit.
This is the dumbest video I've ever seen
Thank you bro good work
So this "in theory" should also apply to any size switch because they're pretty much all build the same and not many have surge protection built in to each port for isolation.
AC will almost always jump the pcb. I am curious about DC behavior tho.
Ha! Absolutely love this and watching you figure it out with the voiceover is 💯
Thanks! 😃
Commenting while watching... the anticipation is killing me 😅
Its a bit longer of a video but i did not want to cut out any of the good parts.
@furttech glad you didnt
Would you say it’s safer to host both on the same server?
(Faster as well? And I’m assuming this is when the Glue method is supported)
This is an older methodology which is simplified for educational purposes. In production a distributed approach is used with virtualization, containerization and cloud load balancing. However for a single site/low traffic non streaming service a basic implementation works fine. You can easily host both on a single server and just point onto itself. Yes its faster too.
So bind9 is a dns service, that most places use? I’m confused about how most services use their dns’ing .. considering I did not ever hear of bind9… so I mean, does godaddy, and noname or squarespace or any other registry use bind9, or other dns’ing as with how services to servers are built, they don’t always specify the groundwork’s
Good question. A few dns services are available depending on the server os installation. Bind9 is a linux program essentially running on a server that would in regards to your question be implemented by said organization to provide the dns activities to the paying customers. You are correct to think its not always mentioned because it's more in the back end implementation. Hope this helps address your question.
You got a sub just what I wanted and I got
So happy to here. Thank you.

great bro
Thx
Most excellent!
Thank you
Very clear thank you !
Glad it was helpful! Let me know of any requests. :)
The impossible screw!
Dude. That one screw took me a month of trying before i found an adapter that worked. It broke two Phillips bits. Had to get a hardened tip. Then finally got an impact screwdriver on the job... in the end.. 15 seconds..
Thank you man, u saved me 😘😘😘😘😘😘
So glad this helped someone. I figured hey.. if it bothered me then it has to bother others.
i dont know wth he talking :D

How long have you been gardening?
I have been gardening my whole life. Sometimes gardening helps when I get burnt out. Other times it's a distraction. Its a weird thing idk why i enjoy it so much...
Whoa! The Furt is outside and gardens! 🤯😱 super cool dude!
I find a good balance of tech and nature allows me to keep my sanity. Thanks! :P
WHY DOES BOSE MAKE PADS LIKE THESE?? SO FRUSTRATING.
One day a Bose engineer named John woke up to a knock at the door. A funny man stood at his door threshold with an official document. Dammit, the Engr mumbled to himself. The b*%$# did it she filed papers on me after 25 years... Later that day John walked into his office, he was senior team design leader for the on ear head phone line.....
Please do not throw sausage pizza away
Yes, that is a good one! Very popular!
Did it come with a power supply?
It depends on the seller. However, it normally comes without any externals like power supply or heatsinks.
I can use with a rpi pico?
I think it will work for the pico but pinouts are not aligned correctly to just plug and go.
Why you not shown a face
By far the best description I've found. Not 30min + video about each layer waffling crap. Brilliant ty
Easy! Nice
Thanks for this I thought I was going crazy

Which part is the transformer? The yellow piece?
Ues the small black and yellow box looking component on the circuit board.

where do you buy replacement parts?
Ebay or 3rd party sound supply sites. I got my kits off ebay tho. Years ago tho. Not sure who still sells it but a quick google for at2020 mod kit shows a number of resellers.
