Amazing. SIMPLY AMAZING.
My only real complaint about this game(aside from abandoning the full motion videos of X4 in lew of powerpoint slides) is that it fails to actual reveal wily tangibly. Yes we get the Wily (W) and sigma all but revealing him in description. But Sigma reveals that WILY IS ALIVE, that he has met with him, conspired with him, and plotted with him. And yet we get no tangible proof of this. Now I know Inufane had big planes for HIS version of X6 and likely that's were he was gonna bring back Wily to replace Sigma as the villain leading into the elf wars and the prelude to the Zero Series, (but capcom said fuck that and took a dump on our childhoods). Still, a post credits scene revealing him, or hell even just his laugh at the very end of the credits, would have sufficed. My only real complaint.
There wasn’t gonna be an X6. He was going to go straight to the Zero series.
@@Stew.0 Actually no in an interview done several years after X6 he flat out says the plan was to carry on the X series with zero gone, and that the plot was to end the maverick wars and restart the X series about several decades later with the construction of elisium, the utopia X mentions at the real end of X5. This would have told the eld wars saga, in conjunction with the Zero series, synergistically releasing each game in sequence of the other. but literally over the summer capcom manifested X6 from thin air, scraped the X elf war saga, and did not even tell him. He litterally didn't even know it had been made until someone showed him a Nintendo power interview about it. Fortunetly he had finished most of the Zero series by that point and Was allowed to finish it as intended un molested as Capcom NEEDED a solid GBA megaman series. Afterwords though is when Inufane cut all creative ties with capcom regarding megaman. Can't blame him.

For some reason this makes me think of how epic and dark Zero's backstory is, from finding out he was a creation of Wily, to having to fight Iris knowing how much she meant to him, to pretty much being a carrier to a virus and even up to the megaman Zero series which I'm not really a fan of but still interesting. Think I prefer Zero over X by alot.
It might not be my place to say this, but I personally disregard the Zero series. I don't think it contributes anything meaningful to his character, and that's the least of the issues I have with it - I could go on an entire tangent, but it isn't relevant here. I consider Zero's story through the main X games, and he's enough of a tragic hero there. I'm just glad they haven't killed him off again since X5.
@@gyppygirl2021 Honestly I prefer Zero's story through the X games as well, was never really that crazy about the Megaman Zero series, and quite frankly still somewhat confused by it. I don't know I guess in my opinion the X series tells his backstory way better in a way.
@@fattonyTV_ He's well established enough in the X games, and in the Zero games, he almost feels like a completely different character - Zero in name only. I find it unsettling, especially combined with the lore going a bit too far for my tastes.

NGL, Wily might just be the least known villain from a Super-Franchise.
But he is well known for being the one that started the chain of events with two of his greatest inventions of history. Zero and the Maverick Virus.
