Thanks, i struggled with playing the 3rd inversion, the gap between 2nd and 3rd fingers began to hurt after some time of playing. I tried having the 4th finger instead of the 3rd but it takes more dexterity. Then i saw you simply play the 3rd higher up the note which helps close the gap and ease the hand.

What are your thoughts for fingering on the 7ths of this scale?

Why is it called B minor 7th? Where did the 7 come from? Is it because we count the white keys starting from the root?

it's so crazy confusing: I'm playing F, A, and C but trying to convince my brain it is E sharp G-dble sharp, and B sharp. I'm here because in my scales and chords book I jumped ahead to check out F# major and found I wasn't sure how to play E#. Only thing I could think was playing the "f" key, and realized I guess it's set up that way because the scale requires the F to be played sharp... I'm very musically inclined, but find this music theory to be wildly confusing.... Thanks for your videos, which I just discovered, as the show and tell in this one is direct, simple, and thus unmuddied the theory water a little.
