Hey y’all & welcome to are channel. We are Dom & Pete from the UK. We fell in love with cruising back in 2012 when I surprised Pete with a Caribbean Cruise for his birthday. Since then we have been on many cruises throughout the years. Back in 2018 we tried are 1st attempt at blogging with Dom & Pete’s Guide with are 1st Cruse to beautiful Norway. We didn’t look around Marseille but we would a lovely excursion to nearby Arles which was fabulous.
We loved this cruise! We said if we go back to Marseille we would 100% do an excursion next time. We will keep Arles in mind if we do. Thank you again for taking the time to watch & sharing about Arles 🙏☺️
What time in the morning did you do the Sky lift I’m doing this cruise in April 😎
Hi Paul Look we made sure we were the 1st off the ship when we arrived in Olden. Looking back at our time stamp it was around 9am. As you can see in the video when we came down there was a long line to go up. Thank you for watching & have a great time in Norway 🛳️⛰️🇳🇴

Enjoyed the videos. I will be on this cruise in September, really looking forward to it. I act as a sighted guide for a blind couple I work for so it’s kind of a working holiday but they pay for everything and I get to stay in a suite all to myself 😊

Our advice would be to watch lots of vlogs and weigh up what you want from your cruise. We love Iona, but completely understand that some people won’t, it’s all down to personal taste. So get watching as many vlogs as possible. We try to be fair and point out some things that work and some that don’t. Hope you find your perfect cruise! Pete & Dom 😁😁

Great video, with many tips I'll use on my cruise starting July 20th! Quick question, we've booked Nordfjord Kayaking at 1pm, would you know if it would be possible to do the Leon Skylift and get back in time for the 1pm start? And if so any tips would be very helpful, thanks in advance.
Hello! Really sorry about the delay in replying, we’ve been moving and it’s been hectic! If you get off the ship straight away you can probably do this! But be mindful that you are relying on a few things all lining up, such as queues at the bottom and top when coming back down and shuttle buses not having any issues! If you wait until mid morning then you will absolutely have queues and we personally wouldn’t risk it, but first off the ship and to the shuttle then it could be done 👍 Have an amazing cruise! We have never been on Arvia before and heard lots of mixed reviews and you have posted a lot of information to give us a heads-up about the ship. Realy enjoyed seeing your tours of the ports on video as I spent a lot of time trying to research each one and yours was so much more informative as well as visual. I had a cabin on deck 8. It was situated where the promenade deck narrows towards the front of the ship. The balconies in that area were double size. The balcony glass was quirpte high and frosted only the very tallest people could look over. The glass in the cabin was one way glass so no one could see in

Deck 8 are definitely a marmite cabins!!! We have an upcoming cruise and we have decided to try deck 8 in the name of research 🧐 I’m sure it will be fine 🤞🏻 Thank you for watching 👀

We are going on this cruise in 2 weeks. Thank you!. PS is the WiFi package worth it? It's appears very expensive. In one of the videos we have watched they said if u don't buy the package you get 1 hours of WiFi free every day. Is that correct?
Hi… thanks for your comment. Those 2 weeks will fly by now! Not long to go! We personally usually get the WiFi package. Remember that you will need to put your phone on airplane mode whilst out to sea so you don’t connect to the maritime network (this is super super expensive and avoid at all costs!) so you will be disconnected for those 2 days, which may not be a bad thing… We always get a single device package. You can log in and out of it, meaning you can share the log in. I know they were offering 1 free hour on this cruise… this is due to them recently partnering up with Starlink, so it was to showcase the speed etc of the service. I’m not sure if that offer was for 1 hour per day…not that we were aware, and we would be quite surprised if that was the case. Usually the WiFi is cheaper to purchase beforehand so bear that in mind. P&O usually do 15% off offers etc before you sail. Or if you have onboard spend you can use that towards the cost, but bear in mind it will be full price at that point. I hope that helps… Have a great cruise! Pete & Dom

Hey guys, new subscribers to your channel. Its a year since we cruised to Norway but we remember it as if it was last week! What was your highlight? We would have to say the Briksdal Glacier followed by Geiranger! We will definately be gong back again.

I think the highlight of this cruise had to be the Leon Skylift. The views were beautiful and the snow at top made it even more of an experience. And yes Norway will always tempt you back now! Great video, guys. We’re doing the Med this summer on RCCL and Palma is on our itinerary… we’ve not been in over 20 years, so this vlog has made us even more excited. Also, we’ve not sailed P&O yet, so enjoying the ship stuff too.

P&Os newer ships Iona and Arvia are really nice. (Although we must admit we haven’t been in any of the others yet!) It’s very British which means good tea 🫖 🫖! Which is very important ha! There was a charge for the escape room… and you are put together with other people. So if there’s only two of you, you will be grouped together with other guests if that makes sense. Cool video can you select twin beds rather than double and how was the internet aituation with a uk sim card?
Hello… sorry for the delay in replying… yes you can split the beds into two singles. This can be done via your planner before the cruise or ask your cabin steward and they will sort it for you. For this cruise we had a roaming pass / bolt-on with our current phone contracts… it was approx £15 and lasted for 30 days which covered us whilst we were in port. Just check with your provider. Whilst you are cruising at sea remember to turn your phone onto airplane mode as you do not want to connect to the maritime network as this is an astronomical cost! There are WiFi packages available to book, these are usually cheaper to book beforehand. They have different packages depending on your needs. You can buy one per day or for the whole duration of the cruise. You don’t need a WiFi package to use the P&O web app to book dining etc etc Hope that helps :) :) Pete
