      Thanks for stopping by! 😎. I'm preparing a full review at some point soon. I've been testing the neckband pro for a couple of weeks now but would like to keep testing after the firmware upgrades for a more accurate content. Stay tuned! I can say the UI has changed. You'll have access to "Spacewalker mode" which offers support for pin mode and smooth follow (recently improved after a firmware upgrade) and to "android mode" (behaves like an android tablet). The UI is faster due to the new hardware components but also allows you to choose between those two modes. I'll post a video In a few days/weeks in case that might help you decide

      🤦‍♂️I see! I've misread your comment. The short answer is: not for now. Also I remember the neckband being considered an android TV in some situations whereas the neckband pro seems to be taken as a tablet. We'll have to wait a bit and see 😳🥺

    Got mine when they first came out and haven’t used it in ages. Tried it the other day and now it just shuts down after about 10min automatically (even if it’s been fully charged) and of course Viture don’t care as it’s only covered for a year.

      Thanks for sharing! 🙏 I'm really sorry that you're having issues with the neckband. Was there a reason why you didn't use it for that long? Was there a feature in particular you expected to use but it didn't turn out as expected and you stopped using the neckband? Or you just bought it to try and once done you didn't use it again? People typically comment and don't come back but I'm really curious to know. I've been using the neckband since it came out several hours a week and it's been ok within reason (usually around hours battery life). I wonder if yours just requires to be charged longer or the battery just simply stopped working and the battery is dead. I hope viture can help you find a suitable solution despite the fact that a year have passed 🤞

      I used it quite a bit at first but then the novelty wore off. Kept using the glasses though with my steam deck. Recently I was messing around with my pc as a media server and decided to try it with that for movies etc which is what brought me back to it. Originally though I just tried bit of everything with it. Watching Netflix, steam link and seeing what other apps it could use such as games.

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 14 дней назад

      thanks for coming back! I had a similar experience in terms of testing different features and using Steam deck directly with the glasses. The only difference I see is that I ended up using it almost exclusively to watch movies. I didn't consider installing games nor thought the pin mode was mature enough for steam deck. For movies it was great to me, private screen, not reducing the lifespan of my phone battery by saving it from some heat (my phone used to get really hot when using the glasses) and no lengthy cables from the phone to the glasses. Quite portable I thought. So far the main reason I used the neckband first gen is for watching videos/movies offline (or online) and take advantage of the noise fan 😜 to warm the neckband and not my phone. Do you see any reason to use the neckband again or getting the neckband pro? What would make you use it again? Thanks again! 😎

      Sorry to hear that 😞! There's a feature added to the viture XR pro to address some of those cases but it's difficult to know whether that would work as every person is different. Is the image crystal clear? Sometimes it could be a matter of adjusting the prescription but sometimes it could be the IPD and then there's much to do ,😳

      @FTACatch-up 26 дней назад

      Thanks for stopping by 😎. Unfortunately none of the glasses would work due to the OnePlus 12R usb-c port being version 2.0. You'll need a phone with a usb-c por capable of sending video output for the glasses to be recognised. With the OnePlus 12R you'll see nothing with the xreal air 2 pro glasses 😞

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 28 дней назад

      Thanks for stopping by 😎, short answer: I don't have a way to measure it, they both look quite similar to me. It's difficult to estimate. In addition to that I can say that there's some slight difference around the corners. I noticed when using the beam pro + xreal air 2 pro glasses that the corners are rounded whereas they are square shaped when using viture XR pro glasses+ the neckband pro (similar to the beam pro product). The other aspect to take into account is that you might just want the screen at the right size more than simply as big as possible due to a bigger screen getting closer to the corners which causes the issue with blurry corners. I'd say that the ideal size is in some scenarios smaller than you are shown by default. To me, it feels with either glasses like going to the cinema and taking one seat in the middle that is not too far nor too close (although, as mentioned, sometimes it does feel a bit closer than I would like when watching movies.) Something else is that with the beam and the neckband pro you can adjust the size of the screen to make it bigger or smaller. Hope some of this answer helps a bit! Thanks again 🙏

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up Месяц назад

      thanks for stopping by! 😎 this is a good question. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer 😞. In my experience, they are similar and sometimes there are apps/software or the OS itself (when connected to Windows/Mac OS) that can help increase/reduce the screen size. When watching movies I feel as if I'm in the cinema not too far, not too close, just at the perfect distance. When gaming in Windows (Rog Ally X, Legion Go) I have felt the screen sometimes is bigger than when watching movies so you can take advantage of the 46 FOV. For example, when playing FPS games you can clearly see the enemy in the distance BUT, as everything in life, there's the downside that you might miss other enemies around you if you don't move your head around (to the sides) to look what else is there. is there any reason in particular as to why you would choose one over the other based on the screen size? I think the FoV is decent for these considering that they are not VR headsets but allow you to still see your surroundings.

      thanks for stopping by 😎! . There's a hardware limitation with the beam pro in which none of the usb-c ports support video, so, you can't use it as you were able to with the beam first generation 🙁. @@Xaviloj it depends on the local network speed/router. In my case, I prefer the first generation to play with the rog ally / legion go because when I'm using my local network (using the sunshine/moonlight app) it drops some frames while playing COD and it becomes annoying. My router is not great and I have multiple people in the house. It does work fine with some games in which a small delay is not critical but with the cable there are no delays, it just works. Also you can control the mode by pressing the orange button. I compare this with the stability you get with wired headphones vs wireless headphones. The wireless are mostly ok but with a wired device there will be no interruptions or interference (if you don't mind the cable). Just bear in mind it is a bit sluggish but if you want anchor mode, the first generation will do it without faffing around.

      I'm working on a video comparing the image quality of the viture xr pro vs xreal after today's upgrade Viture introduced back in July a few colour modes: True Color, Vivid, Warm, and Cold Today a new upgrade was released to address: - occasional screen flickering issue on SpaceWalker. - Support and optimizations for the VITURE Pro Neckband. I haven't upgraded yet but will do in the upcoming days and compare the colour quality against the xreal air 2 pro (I don't have the ultras!) My opinion so far: I love the colour quality of the xreal air 2 pro BUT viture tend to release upgrades more often so I have some hope that the colour now looks better than it used to. Also, in my case, I prefer the viture xr pro glasses because I don't need to wear prescription lenses, is your sight ok or you need to use the prescription lenses?. For me, this is the reason why I ended up using the viture xr pro more often than the xreal: I don't need to wear prescription lenses because I can just adjust the dial with the viture glasses. Also the xreal prescription lenses become dirty more easily. oh! let's not forget that I can use the viture xr pro with the viture neckband 🙂

      @@jeffersonpompilla4759 hi again! I have been investigating and taking a look at the goovis g3 max but unfortunately I won't be getting them. The reasons in my case is that this device seems to be older than the xreal, viture and rokid glasses that have been around for a while. Also there seems to be a gap between the visor (where the screen is) and your eyes which might not give you an immersive experience. On the other hand, if you do get the immersive experience by pushing the visor against your face it is not too practical 🤔 and I didn't see cameras that would let you "see" the outside world so you would have to lift the visor in order to communicate whereas with the xreal, viture or rokid glasses you can just see without having to move the glasses. My point being: if I'm not gonna get immersion and I'm not gonna get "see through" then it's not worth it in my case. Other reasons for not getting it: it seems expensive for what it is, the technical specs are not detailed in their website (apart from "Dual 2.5K Micro OLED screen. No edge blurry. No screen door effect. FOV 65. PPD46, 3528PPI,120Hz.", there's no detail about the speakers or bluetooth support (so probably it doesn't support it). On the brightside: it does support hdmi, and audio via 3.5mm which essentially means it can be plugged as a "monitor" to almost anything. Stay tuned for the rokid max 2, I hope I have a chance to review it soon, it might be a cheaper option or simply the usual xreal or viture. Thanks again for making me aware of this, it was fun to find out a bit more about it! 😎

      Hi! Thanks for your question 😎. Unfortunately, it won't work. If you connect the xreal air 2 pro (or any other glasses) the spacewalker app would still display the message "connect your viture glasses". The software is designed to recognise the viture glasses but not any other 🥺 You can still connect the xreal glasses but it won't have the features available from the spacewalker app. Maybe the nebula beta can help to some extent. Last time I checked it was beta and it was pretty bad. Not sure whether xreal has made any progress but I suspect that they might have not released any new version 😞 I feel a bit abandoned with this. Xreal releases new products and seems to forget about software for the "old" products 🤷‍♂️. Hope you can find a solution 🤞

    But XREAL Air 2 Pro glasses are enough to work with Rog Ally X ? I mean gaming, only for gaming. Glasses without any additional addons are enough to play ?

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 2 месяца назад

      yes, you can connect the xreal air 2 pro directly to the Rog Ally and it would work nicely as long as you don't need prescription glasses and you don't have issues with your vision (myopia, astigmatism..) If you do have myopia and no astigmatism then there's the viture XR pro glasses that allow you to adjust up to -5 for myopia. If you decide to go for the xreal air 2 pro you would also need a prescription insert. The other catch with connecting the xreal glasses without any other add on and simply just directly to the Rog ally is that the screen will follow you whenever you move your head. This might be particularly annoying for some people or even cause dizziness if you are playing while being on a moving vehicle (car, bus) but it might not be that noticeable while on a train, airplane or something more stable. In my case, I can play without significant discomfort while I'm on my bed, a chair, a sofa or even on a plane.

      Thanks for your comment 😎. I'm working on a video to show a few changes I noticed that came with the latest neckband firmware upgrade and the viture XR pro 3D SBS (side by side) video in RUclips was not working properly for me before. Viture must have made firmware changes to the neckband and it's now working acceptable for me. By this I mean, I could watch a trailer in 3D perfectly fine with the viture XR pro glasses and the viture neckband software. However, the user interface looked non 3D and a bit blurry so I had to adjust manually. It is usable though. I need to test what it's like with the android companion app. I'm still running the viture XR pro glasses with an old firmware so it seems it could have been a change made to the neckband which I have now upgraded to the latest software at the time of writing (released in November 2024) Is there any 3D content in particular you're after? Anything you would like me to test before I publish the video? Have you tried adjusting SBS mode manually with the xreal glasses? (e.g. open a 3d SBS video on RUclips then hold for 2 seconds the volume + button until you hear a beep, that would enable sbs). In my case the way the video is shown doesn't look right 😞 but it might work for some people. I have done the equivalent with the viture pro (pressing the single button for 2 seconds) and in that case it does work for me 😀. It seems both glasses have a different level of adjustment Thanks for your comment 🙏and stay tuned!

      Thanks for passing by! 😎 I don't own the official xreal adapter but I have the viture one and a cheap unbranded Chinese version that work in a similar way None of them would work with the beam pro (using the cable) and you would have to use the beam pro wirelessly What devices are you trying to connect? 1 xreal adapter (1 cable usb c male and 2 usb c female) + Rog ally + xreal air 2 pro + power supply + beam og (1st edition)? If you have the first beam it could provide power to the beam via the power supply but not from the Rog Ally on its own. Also because the Rog ally OG (first edition) only had a single usb c port you would have either the beam connected to the power supply OR the Rog ally but not both. Let me know what specifically devices you are trying to connect to and what your expectations are and I can share what I have done and whether it worked for me. Thanks 🙏

    Is there a site for prescription lenses?

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 3 месяца назад

      Thanks for passing by!. There are 3 options that I'm aware of. 1. The official recommendation from xreal is to use Lensology, for example, if you are in the UK lensology.co.uk/xreal-air-2-ar-glasses/ but they also deliver to other countries. My opinion: if you don't live in a country where they have presence or deliver to it might be an issue. Also if your prescription is relatively simple you might find it cheaper in other places. The good thing about this option is that you can be sure that you'll get exactly the prescription that you need when your prescription has something more than myopia 2. You can use third party providers (AliExpress?). This also worked ok for me for a basic myopia prescription but you need to find a reliable seller and there's a limit in the kind of prescription they provide. It's a bit of the wild west 3. I read somewhere that you can take the empty prescription lenses to your optician to have it fit but I haven't tried this. Hope that helps! 😎

    Please note, adjusting the refractive index via the roller can lead to over-adjustment, making it difficult to achieve precise accuracy,and also can increase the likelihood of visual fatigue over time.

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 4 месяца назад

      agree, that's certainly something to take into account when adjusting the dials. I'd also add that if the only issue is myopia then the dials would work perfectly and cause no fatigue as long as they are well adjusted (as you rightly mentioned) BUT if there are other issues then the image might not look as sharp and could also cause visual fatigue over time. I think the feature needs to be handled with care and we should always be aware of any other condition we might have but might not know at the time of trying the glasses. Thanks so much for your feedback! 😎

    so this is like a smartphone integrated on the glasses, but i can do almost the same thing with my smartphone? (i have a z fold, and a rugged phone that the baterry last 5 days) , would it improve the battery life if noneckband connected?

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 4 месяца назад

      It will definitely not improve the battery life. The battery life is worse when compared to a phone that lasts for 5 days as the neckband would only last for around two hours (at least in my case). That said, I should say that to me it's an interesting and convenient device if you don't want to wear your phone battery and you don't want extra cables. So, I'd say that if you don't mind having this device around your neck with a kind of loud fan and with just enough battery for around 2 hours then it's great. For my use case (watch movies / a movie per charge) it's ideal as I only need the glasses and the neckband. It comes with a cable that attaches to the glasses so you don't need the proprietary usb cable that would connect the phone to the glasses because an equivalent cable is already part of the neckband. The other thing I like is the navigation for watching movies (e.g. the video player for MP4, or other videos). I love it! The buttons are a bit loud but it's easy to play, pause, resume from where you left, fast forward, rewind etc. You can manage all this with physical buttons without having to use the phone. This is a plus for me in a world in which using the touch screen is inconvenient if your hands are wet or you don't want to "open the app" just to pause/play. You can do all this by simply pressing a button just like you would do with a TV remote but using the neckband instead. What would be your use case? What would you use the neckband for? If it's just for battery, I will not recommend it BUT if it's for the experience of a video player maybe it does make sense

However, there's always something that slips through the net, what devices have you tried to connect and didn't work as expected? What was the expectation and what was the result?. I had a chance to look at what you mentioned and found it works nicely with moonlight, essentially it works exactly like the beam but wireless which at first sight might sound like and improvement but no. It does require installing moonlight and that's simple but limiting as it depends on a third party software. I'll try to post a separate video to address this. The beam pro is "pro" from the perspective of AR in comparison to the beam BUT in terms of the feature to connect to the steam deck or Rog ally I agree it's not "pro", even the smaller button to swap the modes is a bit of a nuisance. I also think it's misleading that these are, to xreal, two separate different devices more than an improved version and whereas there are improvements in some areas some others like the one you pointed out has been left behind. I'm annoyed and I'll try to post a few options. thanks again! 😎
